Manolo Garage

I’ve been a mechanic for over 40 years, in 1889 during a work holiday in London I worked for Manolo for nearly a year, and man, I’ve seen this guy doing things to customers vehicles that even God won’t believe, Manolo has no idea what a responsible repair is, he is one of the biggest rip off I ever met….the guy is rude, aggressive and a crook…stay away from his trap!

Manolo is a character, great personality and very professional. I would recommend him to everybody as expenses are efficiently cost sensitive and the work immaculate.

Although I have been here a few times and have been satisfied with how my car has been repaired, the service is not great at all. Manolo himself is unprofessional and quite rude. He either has an attitude with you when asking simple questions/offering simple explanations or seems to be in a rush. On one occasion he swore and hung up the phone simply because I called to see if I could bring my car in half an hour before closing

Have been waiting over a month for my car. I hope he is well during this time. My wheel was sent back because he has not been in and its is very inconvenient for me.

Superb!!! Manolo is honest, has a wealth of experience and expertise and has always done an excellent job for me, my family and our friends over the years. Not only that, he does it all for an exceptionally reasonable price. You won't get better value for money in London. He is a Clapham institution and I highly recommended him.

Do not judge a book by its cover. Manolo is the best! No doubt about it. Years ago I had a fault on my BMW... many garages wanted £200 upfront to run tests... I was driving past MANOLO garage and something made me stop to ask him about the fault. Yes he was busy and did seem like he was rude, he took a look at my car , fixed the fault in a few minutes and charged me £5. Yes five pounds!! At Xmas he gave me a bottle of wine and a calender for the year! He also gives keyrings and tax disc holders! Mr Passionate... Need I say more? He can work on any car. He loves Mercedes and I've seen him fixing all kinds of sports cars. He is old school but he is a rare breed and not a fake person. Very hard to find these days.

I am quite astonished about the two reviews by Edward James and Rory Hederman. I have used Monolo a few times having seen his superb reviews 1.5 years ago. I have found him to be conscientious, honest and with superb workmanship skills. Monolo is not in the job for the money, but to keep himself useful, fit and purely for the love of it. He is the cheapest garage I have ever used in my life. I recommended him to my son, my husband and they all find him the same.

In October of 2020 my primary work vehicle broke down. I contacted road side assistance and had my vehicle towed to Monolo’s garage. There it has remained for the past 10 months. Excuse after excuse I have been given as to why no progress had been made. In January of 2021 I went in determined to get my keys back and remove my van by any means necessary. Monolo pleaded with me to leave it with him as he did not want to have an unhappy customer. I agreed and gave him more time. In February 2020 I had no choice but to purchase another vehicle as I am a trades person and not having my own transportation was proving to be financially diabolical. Yesterday I went to Monolo’s with two friends in order to push my vehicle out of his garage. Ten months later this is the condition Monolo returned my vehicle to me. I am beyond distraught. What is left of the engine is literally falling out the bottom of the body.He is the worst mechanic I have ever come across. To say he is unprofessional is the understatement of the century. All I can say to anyone who is considering using Monolo’s services is, beware.

Great mechanical, if you have some problems with your car.No, worries bring your car to the garage and let him knows.He smells the problem and fix it.
