I registered because I needed a GP in the UK, never actually used their services. But because of this - staying healthy - they kicked me off their registry list, multiple times.I first registered in autumn 2019, I had to re-register to get a COVID vaccine in 2021, and after about a year, they deleted my record again. Which obviously, without being registered at a GP, you can't get vaccinated, you can't get medical insurance, it's a huge problem. What's worse, it takes them ~2 weeks to go through the registration process. So, even if you think you'll just sign up" to access NHS as an international student

Receptionists are all lovely! At my previous GP surgery, the receptionists could be a little cold (although let’s face it, patients aren’t always very polite either!) But the receptionists here are something else - they’re always so helpful & kind regardless of previous interactions. They really are a credit to this surgery and have significantly reduced my anxiety around calling to book appointments etc.My GP (Dr Dunn) is also kind & very thorough. On a previous visit, I had made brief notes on a number of issues, but I really only went there to enquire about blood tests for gender services, and to resume/evaluate my prescription medications. I went through my notes with Dr Dunn and she listened to and addressed all of my issues concisely & accurately. You can tell that she really cares about delivering the best possible care to her patients.Best & most caring GP surgery I’ve ever visited.

Terrible service and useless. I needed a form to be signed by a G.P for a work placement abroad. All which was required was a signature, no appointment or check necessary, to say I am of fit health to leave the country. They refused to provide this service, even recommending I use their blood pressure machine MYSELF to get my results. They then recommended a private doctor to an obvious student, which would cost me £200. I now have no idea how I am able to get this form completed without taking out a loan or using a credit card.

The staff in the reception are very nice and helpful, and you can call them directly from their number in google maps. The doctor as well is helpful, patient and accurate in his notes. You have to book an appointment to do anything here, usually it is the same day or the day after. I recommend calling them before coming. The unity health i think is even better than York Hospital, and I recommend to go to unity health if possible before the hospital.

I've had nothing but problems, can't get an appointment for over a month, then my appointment gets cancelled and I can't get another appointment for another month. The medical problem I'm having continues to get worse. The last 3 prescriptions I've had have been issued wrong, I've had medications incorrectly taken off my record. It's dangerous for your health to be registered at this surgery, I'm worried what will happen if I get an acute medical problem before I'm able to switch GPs.

Staff are friendly but the system is messed up. Took 2 months just to get an appointment for a basic healthcare check. Even being a local I still wouldn't recommend you go here especially if your neurodivergent and struggle with sensory needs. The lighting in the waiting roomis horrendous it's so bright and makes me feel like I need to wear my sunglasses even though your indoors! Last year they sent me for an X-Ray to check my ribs weren't broken and we spent 8 hours trying to get that sorted! Turns out I never even needed it because I'm 20 and they avoid X-Rays on young people!

DO NOT GO TO THIS GPMy girlfriend tried to get an appointment this morning and was told that she was no longer a patient at the gp. They told her she was dropped on July 1st, when she had been for an appointment there on July 9th. They would not reinstate her profile and told her she must reapply. They lie and do not care about their patients.

Have been waiting on hold for nearly two hours (still am). Caller no3 seems to have been on call for half an hour! It’s ridiculous. The WORST GP ever. Prescribed me the wrong thing (a cheap knock off of my repeat prescription which could cause extra side effects for me etc.) and I’m wasting a day waiting for them to actually answer the phone. Don’t register at this GP, even if you live nearby. It’s AWFUL! Will be switching GPs asap, would rather go somewhere further away than ever return here.

Contrary to many reviews, I have actually had a very positive experience with Unity Health. When I've had appointments, staff have been professional and helpful. I've had a particularly good experience with a nurse practitioner who was really thorough, informative and helpful!Prescriptions have, in recent months, been released within expected time-frames, and I have not had an issue. The NHS is under immense strainis some impact on appointment availability, but Unity are fairly accommodating, it is just sometimes important to convey the full extent of the (medical) issue to ensure it is recognised, and an appointment is allocated according to its severity- as is the case with any GP surgery around the country. They recently implemented a callback feature, meaning you can bypass the frustrating & lengthy call queues, which is a really positive & helpful step.

After having recently had a whole issue over my old GP not sending my previous records (making it impossible to get my (not urgent) prescription as blood records are needed for this), the staff have been incredibly co-operative to have tried to help resolve the issue, and been very empathetic to my situation.I got spoke to by a receptionist, a pharmacist and then a GP all in the space of an hour to resolve the issue (which in the end was just getting urgent blood tests done at the hospital so I can continue my prescription at the start of next week). Also, appointment times with nurses are usually available with in a few days. The GP I spoke to was efficient and organised with a solution in place and was also very pleasant to talk to - as were all of the staff.Very satisfied with this service!
