Foxholes Farm Shop & Butchery

We really liked it. Having arrived as they were preparing to close, we were delighted by the staff's kindness in going out of their way to look after us, finding items not immediately visible, or into the back when they'd been put away. The burgers were tasty and the scones and clotted cream went down a treat too!

Wonderful little farm. Relaxed and family friendly. They have great service, very friendly staff, lovely food - absolutely perfect for a fuss free day out. Both my ten year old and 4 year old had great fun!

If you are looking for a high quality butcher that cares as much about the source of the meat as the cut, look no further. Meat is grown on the farm itself. I needed a 5kg pork belly ribs piece, they delivered a very high quality cut and prepared it professionally. It was excellent.

We went for my son's first birthday and was not disappointed. Firstly the farm shop was brilliant. Very clean and very big, much bigger then it looks from outside, they sell lots of fresh produce here, meat, Jam, eggs, everything. And tasty hot coffee too. My family and I got a couple coffees then sat down and fed my son using the sites high chairs (which where lovely and clean) then we headed into the farm. With two bags of feed we saw rabbits, goats, sheep, donkeys, ducks and chickens. Really great farm for little ones. We did go when it was raining (poor planning by us) but didn't stop us. Had a lovely couple hours out. There are toilets and baby changing facilities on site. And plenty tables for lunch. Recommended everyone goes, especially if you have young kids.We will definitely be going back, not only to see the animals again but also to buy some of that tasty meat I spotted in the shop.

Shop was good apart from the flies on the sausage rolls .To pay £6 to look at a few tatty chickens and .animals was extortionate. Whole Animal farm and play area looked tired and neglected.I definitely won't be recommending this establishment to anyone else

The butcher is always great and there’s a range of local things in the shop!The butcher will happily answer any questions and give recommendations for what you usually like, for anyone that wants something low maintenance there is always the option to get something from the Cook in the chest freezers.Also depending on the time of year you’ll see the animals in the fields on the drive up which is always nice!

Perfect fun for toddler aged children. Not too big, easy to get around, and lots of fun things to do. Staff were friendly. Farm shop had nice sausage rolls. £3 entry to farm experience day which we thought was excellent value.

Picked up some meat and fish today (Friday) and was delighted to have it placed contact-free into Tupperware I brought from home. I just cooked the salmon fillet for dinner and it was beautifully fresh. I am conscious of sustainability and was pleased to find that the butcher is very well informed on the source and method of catch of the fish. Also good for plastic free fruit and veg. I will definitely be returning.

Friendly, helpful staff. Healthy meat (Not unduly medicated - I asked for details), and fair price. What more could you ask for?

Foxhole Farm is a brilliant place for young children to visit and play. Booking on line is pretty straight forward, you are given a wrist band and given advice on the animals who you can feed and not feed. Staff explained lay out of the petting farm where to wash your hands and where the toiltes are. My advice would be wear wellies and outdoor clothing if you like jumping in poodles, going through tunnels and climbing walls. You can buy a bag of animal feed for a pound. There is a nice play area with tractors and trailers for children to play. There is plenty of on site parking.
