First time visiting after driving past a few times. So glad we came, food was amazing, good selection of beer and wine and such a cosy atmosphere with great staff. Will 100% be coming again.

What wonderful service from Joe, bar staff, at tonight's wreath making session. Nothing too much trouble, so polite & well-mannered. Fabulous atmosphere, would definitely recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My family of 8 decided to come here and dine for lunch for the first time after hearing good reports!!....How wrong these reports were.Waited over 1hr 20 minutes after ordering for the food the come.My rack of lamb which I ordered was cold and not edible, the mashed potatoes were like slop and on a bed of what must have been half a jar of small pickled onions with a few peas thrown in!! It arrived with out any red wine jus and when I asked for some I was given plain beef gravy!!I took it back and decided not to have anything at all to eat.The other members of the families meals were just passable but not worthy of the price they charge. Will not be returning or neither would I recommend to anyone else if you are planning on dinning.Very poor and disappointing. If the owners read this you should be ashamed of what you are serving and charging. If you would like some advice your menu has far too much choice and needs simplifying so your so called chef's can cope or get some new chef's.We as a family was looking forward to this get together and lunchbut unfortunately it was a wasted day and returned home feeling very disappointed and hungry!!

We just had an excellent Sunday evening meal here! The place itself is lovely and the owners have done a fantastic job on the renovation giving the place real ambience with a a country but contemporary feel. The staff were super attentive, personable and really and lovely and the chef made an excellent Sunday roast for our coeliac diner, complete with yorkshire pud which we felt really went above and beyond. So pleased that we took the plunge and tried a new place which we will for sure return to. It was absolutely fantastic. Faultless even, and they're dog friendly which is always a bonus! Thank you 1903. See you again soon!

Fabulous place! Gorgeous home cooked food, great service, chic decor and a fab menu for both food and drink. We had salmon, Barnsley chop and risotto, all freshly home made and super tasty. A local gem, we will be back!

Visited this pub with the wife for the first time in the December evening. Atmosphere great, lovely cosy pub with roaring fire and comfy seatingOrdered food which took around 30 minutes to come but was worth the wait. Tasted amazing and cooked to perfection. Kudos to the chef!Staff were lovely and friendly prompt and a credit to the pub. The pricing for the food and alcohol was very reasonable and will definitely be coming back.Definitely advise a visit to this lovely hidden gem.

Went for Sunday lunch, unfortunately they had stopped serving. Not to worry we still sat and had a drink. Friendly staff. Traditional yet a little quirky. Young waitress came over after a little while and said there's two sore dinners, would you like them? Errrrrmm yes!! Absolutely DIVINE. SUPER TASTY. First ever visit. Don't know why we haven't been before. Definitely be back.

Can’t recommend this pub enough. The atmosphere is superb, amazing decor and such helpful and friendly staff. Love the background music too! Jess and Kieran are so welcoming and attentive, they clearly work very hard and have made the 1903 a fantastic place to go for food and drinks. Good for vegetarians too. Thank you all!
