Rachael Dutton Makeup Artist

I came across Rachael on Hitched.co.uk whilst looking for bridal hair and make up services. I loved everything about her work, it was exactly what I was looking for. I sent a message to her through there but heard nothing back. After a week of no response, I sent a message through her website and she replied the next day. She said her Hitched emails go to her junk folder which she doesn't check.She was pleasant enough through emails until she asked how many I would be booking for. I explained that it would just be for myself and possibly my mum as well. I was happy to pay the surcharge of £60 she had set for lone clients as I liked her work so much.She said she would get a quote sent over that evening and we could go from there. I received the quote and replied back asking about the bridal trial and she didn't reply.Even despite the lack of communication from the beginning, I was still happy to proceed as I was happy with the work I'd seen on her website. I sent another message a week later saying that I would like to go ahead and get booked in and I have heard nothing from her since. Both messages have been ignored.I'm left feeling extremely disappointed and feel as though she was not interested in going any further with the booking as I was only booking for myself, even though she charges a surcharge for the bride only, which I was more than happy to pay. Should have really listened to the warning signs from the beginning.I have now found a new supplier and have booked in all 4 of my bridesmaids for make up with her too.Just goes to show that communication goes a long way!I would advise to only contact Rachael if you have a big party booking as she doesn't seem to be remotely interested in small bookings. Not even sure why she offers the service if her intention is to ignore multiple messages from a potential customer.

My friends and I attended a wedding last Friday and booked Rachael for hair and make up.We were all absolutely over the moon. She is the best make up artist and hair stylist we have ever had. She listened to our individual styles and made us all feel so comfortable and the finished results were just outstanding.She also did my daughter and neices make up, they were on cloud 9. Absolutely amazing work. Rachael turned up on time and even managed to fit in 3 extra cousins for the wedding, due to us being let down last minute by another makeup lady. Her work was flawless and I was very impressed. She was such a lovely young girl and talented in her job. Already have booked her again for my daughters wedding next year.

Booked Rachael for me and 4 friends as guests for a wedding. All varying between hair, make up or both; and she did an amazing job at fitting us all in and finishing in plenty of time for us to be able to not be rushed.She came to the hotel and made it a really enjoyable experience.And such beautiful hair and make up for all.Really friendly and professional.Thank you!

Me and my flatmate booked Rachel to do our makeup for our graduation and we couldn’t be more impressed with the service she gave us. She made both of us look absolutely stunning and was lovely to chat to whilst we were getting our makeup done. Would recommend to anyone and will be using her again for the next big occasion :)

I just wanna say a huge thank you Rachel, for making us all look beautiful, We all got so many compliments on our hair and make up. I’ve used Rachel a few times, I booked her recently for my brothers wedding. Rachel was on time to do four peoples hair and make up, she is very polite and very professional at what she does. I don’t think I would go to anyone else because once you gain trust with someone who does their job right, you wouldn’t need to look elsewhere. I definitely recommend Rachel, she's such a lovely person and very understanding of what you need doing and that’s my fear sometimes getting told that it’s impossible to get a certain look, but with Rachel she makes the impossible - possible. Rachel came to my rescue on Easter Sunday when I needed help with my hair and makeup for a wedding I was attending. Both my hair and makeup lasted the whole day and I didn't have to touch up my makeup once!!She completely transformed me from how I usually look and I could not thank her enough. I would 100% recommend her and will most certainly be booking her again.

I booked Rachael to do my hair and makeup when I was in Manchester for a wedding, I'd only enquired 4 days before I needed to book with her and she was brilliant at getting back to me and fitting me in. The job she did was amazing too, I had loads of compliments and the make up lasted the day and night and hair also stayed in. Lovely and chatty and easy to get on with as well while she was styling me. Definitely recommend.

5*'s, Rachael was incredible when she came to do my make up just before lock down, March 2020. I sent pictures in advance of what I was looking for and I wasn't disappointed in any way. I sent a small deposit to secure my booking and paid the remaining balance on the day via bank transfer, great saved me going to a cash machine. Nothing was too much trouble and Rachael even helped me choose my outfit and helped pin my hair securely as had made such a bad job of it! thanks again Rachael, I can't thank you enough.

Rachael has been amazing through what has been a stressful year so far!I had unfortunately had to cancel my wedding due to COVID this year (like most people), and Rachael has been so supportive and flexible when changing our booking to our newly confirmed date next year.We had some issues along the way with other suppliers, but Rachael has been amazing, I simply could not recommend her enough.Thank you Rachael, and see you in November for my 'birthday' makeup and also next year for the new wedding x
