Chris is the friendliest, kindest stylist/hairdresser/barber ever! He collaborates with you to find and achieve the short and/or long term outcome you desire with your hair. And if you’re into more unusual looks, this is where Chris really shines. He’s the only hairdresser in my life who could handle multiple pots of colour and take the risks to create many new ones. And he’s always coordinated with my ethics around using cruelty-free products. Chris can bend the hair cutting rules to get you what you want instead of what someone thinks you should have. Chris is so special with his craftsmanship that I’ve never been able to trust anyone else with my hair ever since he was first in training at college! Yes, highly recommended indeed!

We were on holiday and my son needed a haircut after another barber did an awful job. Chris was great chatting to us and our son whilst sorting out the cut so it looked so much better.If we lived closer we would use Slay's all the time. Turns out he cuts men woman and kids of all ages, highly recommended.

My son has autism, adhd and further disabilities. He hates having his hair cut, but wow!! Chris was amazing he spoke to my son as a human not some sort of problem.. My son has never sat still for a haircut, he hates the feeling of hair around him and some noises from the clippers. But Chris explained everything, took his time, let him play on a play station which is in his shop and made him feel safe! My son never smiles during any haircut but he was smiling and talking to Chris.. if anyone struggles like we have done finding the perfect barber then look no more!! Chris is amazing so understanding and knowledgeable of these disabilities. Highly recommend.. see you soon x

Stumbled across Chris by luck whilst visiting Seaton Beach.The service we received was excellent. Chris cut the hair of our 18 month old and was so good with both of our young children.He has a raised car/seat for little ones which offered the perfect distraction.This is definitely the best hair cut that we’ve had for our little boy and so although we live some distance away will definitely be using again!Thank you Chris and best of luck for your salon/barbers!

Booked an easy online appointment with Chris to freshen up my undercut. First time visiting this barbers. The place had a really nice feel to it and great decor.I spoke to Chris about my 10 year old son, who’s anxious about having his hair cut. It’s been years since he’s let anyone go near his head. Chris said I could bring him in any time to see how he’d get on. He chatted to my son about the different clippers and reassured him. 2 mins later, my son was in the chair having his head shaved in record time. For anyone who has a child who’s reluctant to have their hair cut, you’ll know the struggle!! Chris was patient and understanding, simply amazing! We will be back! Thankyou so much!

My son is autistic and 12. He really struggles with trusting new people. We ran out of time to get his hair cut before our holiday (well he refused to go…) so by day 3 of the holiday he was really struggling and badly needed it cut. We did a quick google search and saw that Slay had 5*s, so we went in. And boy are we glad we did! He was amazing! He’s autism friendly, has clearly worked with special kids before and made us all feel welcome and at ease. And to top it off he’s bloody good at cutting hair! My son left feeling super confident and happy. Will definitely be popping back on our next holiday.
