3+ real ales in what feels like an airy living room. food at good prices, friendly welcome, pool table and outside seating, children's playground. A hidden oasis.

Great little pub. Always a friendly welcome with a well kept selection of ale's. Recently refurbished with a great kids area and outside dining. Food is home cooked and not delivered to the pub. You can tell the difference and the carvery at the weekend will not disappoint and is not for the faint hearted. If you're in the area and fancy a good pint and good food in a friendly atmosphere it will not disappoint.

Really nice staff. Well priced carvery with excellently cooked meats, good quality veg and a nice, big Yorkshire pudding. The beef was cooked just right (pink in the middle, but not bloody), and the pork was succulent, juicy and delicious. Would definitely go again!

8pm on a beautiful Tuesday we came to try the newly refurbished pub. The “all day food” was no longer being served. The tables were left with leftovers and wasps for half an hour with nobody tidying up. It’s a real shame because the playground etc are nicely done, I don’t understand why the run it like this.

Lovely coffee , welcoming atmosphere Play area and pretty lights are a great attraction show the owners actually care about their pub and broadening their customer base definitely be in again.

A huge thank you to The Shady Oak for making our 25th Wedding Anniversary a great meal and event to remember.Fantastic help in organising, setting up the room and during the event. Staff were excellent. Food was enjoyed by everyone and plenty of praise during the meal for how good it was.We can certainly recommend its a great place for any event.
