Last bus from polperro got in at 6 on a Friday . The barman, Jack, let us get a takeaway fish and chips even though 10 minutes after takeaway hours.. Best fish and chips ever. Perfect portion and seasoning and perfect harbour view

A stunning building, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, friendly polite helpful staff and a new exceptional menu impeccably implemented. The fish stew perfectly cooked and sourced, melt in the mouth kind of goodness, fresher than fresh mussels, and everything to die for. Best I have ever had. So so so good. We will be back for sure. It looked so good too i had to take pictures. Amazing food and drinks (very well kept beer) in a very traditional setting!

Lovey couple of days at the Lugger Inn, guys running it are very welcoming and the atmosphere is great. Very clean and rooms had clearly just had an update. Although room was small with on suite it had everything needed for a short two day stay. Bed was great slept so well. Coffee tea available in room but no milk pods? No room for chair in room so bed was your seat to. Great little area to sit out opposite the inn with a beer/ wine to enjoy amazing views of Fowey estuary.

Just arrived in Polruan and decided to grab fish and chips from the takeaway counter. Took 40 minutes to come (they were very busy) but was well worth the wait. Honestly the best fish and chips I think I've ever had.

We in no way blame the staff, but we waited well over an hour for our main meal to appear, in that we left and only paid for the starter and our drinks. The starters were excellent, scholps were very well cooked. A good selection of beers. We had booked for 630, came down and had it changed to 645, when we turned up we found our table had been given away! They need more staff as the pub deserves to do well. Hey ho

Only a couple of pubs in Polruan and they are next door to each other. This one is very dog friendly. Good polite and helpful service as well.Lovely pint of Cornish Ale and it tasted extra special as it was my first after a very long drive. The starter of scallops on a bed of pea puree tasted so good that I could forgive it's over runny texture and the unappealing chunks of back bacon on top.My gf had King prawns with Asian slaw. Also pretty good.

This has been our local whilst on holiday in Polruan. Absolutely top notch pub with super friendly service, a fantastic atmosphere and brilliantly well kept real ales. Highly recommended!
