Love, love, love this museum. Everything is interesing from the little cottages and knitting workshops. You can slip back in time and see how people lived and worked. The machines are a fantastic piece of Nottingham history. The shop has great things for all ages and cafe has a wonderful range of cakes, pastries and breads plus excellent coffee. I'll be back!

An amazing museum about the Framework Knitting Industry from back in the day. Glad this place was saved by the Trust Fund, it's important to learn history, especially for children. Really friendly and very informative staff. Will be back again for sure as my daughter loves this place.

Love this place, well worth a visit. If you love knitting or textiles it's great for ideas and to see the history of the stocking cottage industry

Fantastic local heritage preserved and recently enhanced. Spent two hours with personal guided tour. Steep stairs to first floor levels but ground floor level wheelchair accessible. Fabulous cake and little knitted, non touristy gifts to buy. A must if in the area.

Excellent museum with friendly, knowledgeable staff and volunteers. We enjoyed seeing where people lived and worked. Absolutely loved the 'top and tail' embroidery in the kids' bedroom. Bonus part was having a go at circular knitting and being able to bring our efforts home. Great on site café too.

An outstanding museum, excellently presented with enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers and craftspeople. The shop has a range of knitted products at very reasonable prices.

£8 for adults. Free for child aged 16 or below. Volunteers are friendly and keen to introduce the history of knitting factory, and to demonstrate how to use the historical machine. The well is still functioning to pump water. Although small, full of fun. Worth to go.

Gift shop advertised as being open. Travelled 10 miles to find it closed. Outside board advertised open. From outside the cafe looked all day closed. Very disappointed. A wasted journey and time

Great piece of history near Nottingham. We visited as a group and had a lovely tour from the volunteers. Got to see the framework knitting machines in use and had a go at the circular knitting machines ourselves. Very tasty meal from the cafe too.
