National Forest E-Bike Holidays

What a wonderful experience- the e bikes were amazing and there were so many interesting and historical sites to see along the way: loved Calke abbey, the beautiful three spired church in Lichfield, the National Arboretum and Elford Gardens but there were many more. The accommodation was perfect including Tudor/Georgian, renovated stables and a stylish inn. Sue and Allan provided excellent support through their ongoing guidance from beginning!planning stages to end of trip, transporting the luggage and their amazing information about local sites and routes via the gps and hard copy detailed notes. This reflected their love for and specific knowledge of the midlands area. Being able to travel along at our own pace; stop where we want as a canal boat glides past; find a cute cafe or pub or buy bread and cheese and eat it in the garden of of an ancient church it all combined to be a unique and memorable experience.

Had a really wonderful holiday! Planning was simple and they took into account our preferences and desires when booking accommodations. Food suggestions were helpful as well. Bikes were top notch and we had no trouble getting used to the bikes. Trails and paths were easy to navigate with the help of GPS, maps and written instructions. Enjoyed the ability to soak in a bit of the country side. Thanks again!!

We had a great holiday last week with National Forest E-Bike Holidays. The bikes were superb and the welcome and support from the organisers were also excellent. The SatNav routes were well chosen and backed up by detailed information sheets so we had no problems reaching our respective daily destinations. The National Forest was an area we were not previously familiar with and we were most pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the countryside and the variety of places to visit en route. Furthermore, along the itinerary, the accommodation was good, and on one evening, outstanding.

I saw the company advertised in The Guardian and thought it would be a good way to test out an ebike as I was considering purchasing one. It was great to have the back up from Sue and Alan with their first hand knowledge of the area and ability to provide support whenever needed.I opted for the Kind Richard III experience and Sue organised a route that allowed me to arrive by public transport to Leicester and discover the cycle network in Leicester as well as the amazing countryside round about.Great experience!

We had a fabulous break in the beautiful countryside of the National Forest on well planned routes which were tailored to our requirements. The accommodations we stayed at were all first class, and with our luggage moved to our new destination every day we had a really carefree holiday. The E bikes we were provided with were top of the range and together with an easy to use sat nav made cycling a real pleasure. We would highly recommend and are already planning our next holiday!

This e bike holiday was just amazing We booked 3 nights in the Secret forest and it lived up to its title as it is just such a beautiful part of the country unknown by many. Sue was the best holiday organiser I have come across. She was there immediately when we got lost, she arranged a fabulous lunch time picnic of a very high standard and booked us into the best bed and breakfastsYou don’t need to go to Tuscany to get the views and the experience just head to LeicestershireThe e bikes were of the highest quality The GPS was a challenge at times but with the back up paper instructions who could get lost !!Thank you Sue and Alan. We spent 4 days doing a circular route, myself on a road bike and an eBike for my mum. What a lovely way to explore the midlands! Sue provided us with a well mapped out route with plenty of diversity and opportunity for variations, along with useful information on places of interest and refreshment breaks. We had a GPS device on the eBike as well as GPX files loaded on to a phone, maps and written instructions, which meant if signal was poor we had lots of back ups to ensure we stayed on the right route. Accommodation was good and our bags were waiting for us every day. We had one night where we didn't sleep well but otherwise the rooms and beds were comfortable. Each proprietor was very hospitable and welcoming and they were able to lock our bikes away safely. We had a lovely week and really benefitted from Sue's attention to detail in planning the route for us, something that we would not have had the time or the local knowledge to do ourselves.

Absolutely fabulous holiday! Top quality e-bikes which makes you feel like a pro as you fly up hills. So easy and more relaxing. Sue & Alan are genuinely lovely people who couldn’t do enough for us. Excellent organisation, communication and accommodation. They are a small business that deserves to succeed. We can’t recommend them highly enough.

We thoroughly enjoyed a 3 night adventure including a much anticipated trip to the National Memorial Arboretum. Sue and Alan provided us with comprehensive pre-adventure information, excellent instruction on how to use the electric bikes and support during our break. Such a different holiday for us and we enjoyed all the many people we spoke to on our travels and special route that Sue had devised for inexperienced riders! Bluebell Arboretum and Nursery was beautiful with charming and knowledgeable staff and the Tollgate Brewery had delicious beer which aided our cycling back to the first accommodation on our first eve! Definitely would recommend National Forest E-bike holidays for their care, good accomodation and attention to detail.
