Chiko's Turkish Barbers Haircut Hot Towel

The staff were rude. Barely acknowledged me and never spoke to me once, but spoke to each other. My barber stopped cutting to actually have a chat with his colleague.He asked me if my haircut was good (with the mirror) and I said yeah, as it was actually a decent cut. Then next minute he starts clipping away again and took off more before I knew what he was doing. Ended up leaving with my hair way too short.Worst haircut I've ever had.Only went here as it was a Sunday and my usual barber in Musselburgh was closed.Avoid at all costs, I certainly will!

This is my first review but I feel I need to warn others.Horrible experience and service from start to finish! Seriously consider spending your money elsewhere.Makes you wonder who wrote all the positive reviews as the place is always empty, dark and behaviour of their staff when you enter gives impression that you are not welcome there saying the least.Being new to the area my DH went there once and said that he won't be going back or recommending them to anyone.This barbers are extremely rough at cutting - to the point were one cut my DH ear (without even as little as acknowledging the fact) and his head was burning" and sore from how it was being handled. When confronted by my DH barber just mumbled something and carried on. Shocking behaviour! I am talking about a grown man here never mind a child - if this is how they threat their customers it is just borderline abuse nothing less. Also barber cuts as he pleases

2 stars only because I'd used the place before and was relatively happy. Most recent visit last Sunday and the beard groom ended up with a squint neckline, mismatched cheek line and one side of my beard about half the length of the other. I only wanted a light tidy up but the barber ended up hacking away at my beard instead.

Good barber I use that one nearly 4 years. Today was first time that I want to leave. Next to me hair drier just explode. Barber instead of cut my hair was talking with friend. After when I told him to start cut my hairs he’s do it. I’m really disappointed.

I will NEVER in my life EVER take any of my boys back to this place! I asked for a short, back & sides for my 2 year old boy who is petrified of the barbers. First guy cut it as usual, everything was fine. My child was screaming which is normal, I was asked to stand with my child, I thought the barber was just shaving the back of his hair, the second barber took over and eventually I realised too late that they had shaved off all off his hair! I asked why this was done to be told that the second guy had told the other to “just shave it off as he wouldn’t sit still” I did not hear him say this as they had said so in a different language, if they had said this in English I would have just told them to leave it at that and would have gotten it fixed somewhere else. Massively regret paying the £10 over for something I hadn’t asked for but my nerves got the better of me.

After not long opening back up, they seemed very calm and had a good vibe with an obvious order for people when they enter the shop that didn't need anyone to ask how long it will be until their hair could get cut. Children seem to love them also, free lollipop or not. My cousin's were happy with their haircuts as did I notice children with learning difficulties did also.

I came for a haircut at 18.45, just 15 minutes before close time. The barber at the time, young guy wearing glasses probably in his late 20s/early 30s, seemed to be pretty much set up to go home, jacket prepared to leave. I asked if it was open, to which this barber answered yes asking what I wanted, said a haircut and clean my beard a bit (not thick at all). He didn't seem happy at all, so hesaid it'll be fine to get the haircut but nothing else as it was closing time. Everything goes downhill from here. He starts rushing every move with the clipper to the point of cutting my lip. Not happy with this, guy decides to stick the clipper into my beard and proceeds to apply number 0 trimming, getting totally rid of everything on the right side. Obviously, it is too late to not have the other side shaved. Guy wouldn't stop until I asked to please leave the moustache at least. When done, sprayed some alcohol-based spray into my face and mouth without even saying, with the obvious reaction coming from the alcohol being sprayed into the cut.Needless to say I am not coming back ever again.If you are interested in some customer feedback, just do not take the customer in if you don't want to take the customer in. Save yourself the work and save the customer from getting hurt and losing a beard.

Most of the staff are friendly. They listen to your requirements carefully. They may also suggest additional services, but it's totally up to you. The haircut, beard styling, ear wax for hair removal, eyebrow cut, and hair styling services are reasonably priced. It is not the best place to go on a busy day, as the staff tend to hurry up a lot.I would strongly recommend service of Sameer and Alan. They are skillful and polite.There is a new Indian guy (one with specs) who is terrible with service and awfully rude. Avoid him at all costs!

My son loves going here. They always make a good job of his haircut and the staff are great with kids. Once a barber challenged my then 4 year old to an arm wrestle which my son won which he loved and made him feel good. We use a loyalty card which they stamp every visit and he gets a free coloured hair gel for every 5 haircuts. They also always give my kids lollies even in the passing. Brilliant. They also style my son with a rainbow coloured gel which washes out which he loves. One of them is great at shaved designs and my song got a spiderweb design last visit.
