Lovely, clean, well-equipped cottage with lots of thoughtful extras left by Fiona and Steve, our very welcoming hosts. Peaceful courtyard garden at the back. A real home from home. We'll definitely be back!

We are just leaving a beautiful cottage in Edinburgh, a few miles from the city centre. It was a great location, shop, bus round the corner, a 15 min walk to the beach at Portobello. Which is a lovely beach with some nice places to eat. There are lots of buses with the 44 running every 10 mins and a family all day tickets for the use on buses and trams at £9.50. Edinburgh castle was amazing and would recommended Auld Reeke tours, Darren on the vaults tour was brilliant!!The cottage itself was beautiful, modern yet homely and spotlessly clean. The owners really care about keeping this cottage to a high standard. Some lovely touches on arrival. When emailing the owner, nothing too much trouble and quick response. The shower was immense!! I could stay in that all day!Every amenity has been thought of and there is even a fancy coffee machine and very fluffy towels. The garden had lots of chairs to sit in in the evening with a glass of wine with pretty fairy lights coming on at dusk.Great base to for the city, we hardly used the car. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

Excellent Cottage, great parking facilities, Very clean and tidy, two bedrooms, lounge and dining room with well equipped clean kitchen.Great bathroom with toilet upstairsDownstairs toilet.Lovely courtyard in the rear of property with table and chairs.Friendly owners living next door.This is the perfect property to book when visiting Edinburgh, easy access to city centre by bus, bus stop 2 minutes walk from property, local co-op shop 2 minutes walking distance.Highly recommend 5 stars all around.Will definitely use again
