I must have been using Groves since the mid-eighties and we've grown old together.Professionally I once looked after the massive batteries used for emergency supplies and UPS systems and they really understand and sell a wide range of battery types and charging systems. Due to a spell of ill health the battery on my Vivaro van ran down, which is never good for a lead acid battery. Revived from completely flat (with a Noco Genius 1 (great little charger) but I knew it would never be the same again. Dropped into Groves on the way past knowing from experience they stock a vast range with a high turnover. Battery checked in situ, it was one of theirs" (of course) down from 800 A to 500A my fears confirmed unfortunately. Battery whipped out specific gravity of all cells checked

Purchased a Battery via the website and used Click and Collect. Went to collect it, was in waiting area and nobody around so popped back outside and met an employee, I asked if he was the only person in today? He promptly said Can't you see I'm busy" utterly rude response to a polite question

Rang before hand and told to just pop down. When I turned up I found the service to be prompt, polite and friendly [served by the older gentleman - sorry I didn't get your name]. Fitted and programmed the battery to the car in 10 - 15 mins whilst I waited in the warm waiting room. Loads of batteries in stock, so none of this ordering it in for you. Seemingly they have been in business for 75 years, so they must be doing something right!Thanks

Just rang groves batteries. What an experience, don't think they could have been less helpful, it was like they couldn't be bothered , then quoted a price 3 times more expensive. Recommended if your after a battery look somewhere else
