We had a loft conversion done by Builders-Team. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough! I met with a number of companies, and my gut instinct was right from the time I met Mantis. They did a great job at a competitive price. Like any building project, there were minor issues along the way which were all resolved promptly and the team were very accommodating with our extra demands.The on-site team were courteous and hardworking. The tradesmen worked well with each other. The communication with the project manager was great. Mindis was always ready to answer my queries. He kept everything well organised with material deliveries and coordinating with trades so the project ran smoothly without delaysWe had very good experience and I will definitely recommend Builders-Team to my friends and family.

Ramas and his team were excellent, they did almost the full build during lockdown and were incredibly tidy, polite and respectful. We are absolutely over the moon with the loft conversion and extension, they delivered more or less on time and exactly on budget, and the tiny issue we’ve had since was fixed within a couple of days. Thoroughly recommended

We were very happy with the work undertaken by Builders Team in 2021, creating a new kitchen/dining room in the back extension of our house.

We employed Builders Team via Simply Easy Refurbs to construct our loft conversion. Although we have a lovely extension, the project was severely delayed and Builders Team difficult to deal with. More recently we have received a significantly better service and Builders Team have returned to fix remaining snagging items. They have also carried out an in depth review of what went wrong on our project.• The project was scheduled to take 10-14 weeks. It took 42 weeks to pass building control; 6 months to move back in (whilst extensive works were still ongoing)• Whenever we raised an issue we were made to feel unreasonable and blamed for things which were clearly Builders Team’s responsibility.• We inherited loft plan drawings from the previous owner. To reduce risk of errors, we had these checked and redrawn by FastPlans at the recommendation of Simply Easy Refurbs. They changed the position of a beam which did not allow enough head room for the stair. At the start of the project I asked both Builders Team and Simply Easy Refurbs to check this specific aspect of the drawing was correct.• The above error resulted in Builders Team failing to raise the ridge line despite this being a clear element of the design (resulting in 1.9m head room instead of 2.2m). At first they were reluctant to rectify this, aggressively blaming us for the issue with the drawing although they did fix this at their own cost.• Our first project manager was a poor communicator, unable to: take photos of the property, provide meaningful updates; interpret construction drawings; properly coordinate the work. We have since had other project managers which are much more capable, but not always taking responsibility for the previous errors.• Builders Team would not accept our deliveries for the project (despite us being prevented from living in the property)• Tarpaulin protecting the loft from rain was not kept in place properly leading to significant leaks to the neighbours' property on Christmas day. Leaks were left for several months leading to black mould, swelling wardrobe drawers and a rotted carpet.• Builders Team missed obvious discrepancies in the position of a wall and charged us £1500 to correct it. This included the cost to move a roof light opening which wasn’t even constructed yet.• Scaffolding above our neighbour’s garden had gaps leading to falling lumps of rubble Builders Team did not take seriously. The neighbours had a one year old child.• Our key to the house which we were told would be kept in a secure box was found on the floor by scaffolders during scaffolding removal.• The roofing appears reasonable, however, the roofers “forgot” to install ventilation. When we asked how the roof was ventilated the response was “all of our roofs are compliant.” We had to press several times before this was properly investigated and resolved.• Plumbing work is good. Toilet was initially installed incorrectly, but this was corrected within a few weeks.• Flooring was installed to a high standard. Simply Easy Refurbs also paid for this to compensate for the delays on the project.• Bathroom is fitted neatly• Initial plaster finish was poor especially in the hallway below the loft which was very uneven. Builders Team claimed this was a decorator’s job to sort out, however the handyman eventually fixed most of this for us anyway. We asked them to provide a quote for decoration but never received one.• Every snagging item was a debate including items they carelessly damaged (picture rail, letter box etc.). They eventually agreed to waive the snagging fee given the extent of the issues.• Downstairs bathroom vent outlet was built over.• My drill was stolen.• I was asked to take my previous review down before being issued with the warranty.• Eaves storage was not fitted with floorboards or insulation until this failed building control. There were also holes in the eaves that let gusts of wind open the storage doors. This has now been properly resolved although as usual a debate was required to achieve this.

We’ve just completed a side return extension on a Victorian Terraced house in London with builders team. The experience was excellent from start to finish. I went to builders-team already with a design and spec and they tendered to build and finish. The price was competitive and they stuck to this. They also gave me a schedule which they stuck to.I was nervous about finding a good building firm but I would highly recommend Giedrius and the team at Builders-team. Even when we were hearing about cost overruns and delays around the country, our build stuck to time and cost.I would highly recommend them and will reuse them if we have any other project.

Builders Team took down our old extension which had no foundations and rebuilt our dream open plan kitchen. They were thoroughly dedicated, communicative and friendly throughout the process and went above and beyond to ensure that everything was finished before Christmas (2021). They have since returned to rescue us from a botched project from another builder. We never should have considered using anyone else. 5*

Builders Team have done a great job renovating our new home in Barnes from top to bottom. All the team showed great professionalism and were constantly attentive to our needs. We have no hesitation recommending the company.

I would caution against using Builders Team.I engaged BT for a complete refurbishment of my 2 bedroom/2 bathroom flat in summer of 2022. The pictures speak for themselves, but below a non-exhaustive list of the issues that occurred during the initial project work and their unfortunately non-committal attempts to fix the issues thereafter. Currently, my shower room is leaking and my ensuite is unusable. I am sleeping in my office because the bathroom appliances (sink, vanity, toilet were put in my bedroom and BT haven’t returned to do the remedial works).PART 1 (I am unable to post part 2 because of the word limitation)A. Issues during Project1. Demolition work:• In week 1, the workers cut the intercom cable for the entire house meaning none of the other flats had functioning door bells. They were reinstate the cabling as it was and I had to engage a different company to do this.• I paid for a skip, but instead they initially kept the demolition waste in my bedroom with the added weight causing damage to my neighbour’s ceiling below. The reason they later gave was that they didn’t make allowance for a skip license.2. Plumbing:• The heaters were not correctly installed and I had no heating during the first winter post completion (2022).• Both the shower and bathtub screens (from CP Hart) were incorrectly installed causing leaks, mould and damage.• The toilets weren’t properly affixed, causing them to move and surrounding tiles to crack.• Because of an insufficient flow rate in the pipes laid by BT, there is insufficient drainage from bathtub slow leaving soapy slime whenever a bath is taken (which now isn’t possible in any event because they haven’t reinstalled the bathtub).• The piping for the washing machine was laid incorrectly causing grey water to flow back into the machine (there is also smell and gurgling sounds coming from the sink).• The bath does a whistling sound when warm water is used.3. Tiling:• The tiles were glued on (see pictures), cracking in various places, the grout is porous which combined caused black mould all around the bathtub and some in the shower area.4. Electrics:• When installing the hob, they drilled a hole directly into the outside wall without insulating it in any way. Whenever the hob was used, it caused a plume of dust to scatter in the kitchen and was therefore unusable.• I have a designer lamp with dimming function. It’s been installed in such a way that the dimmer does not work.• One of the sockets they’ve installed is buzzing. I purchased qualitatively better sockets to replace the not functioning one they’ve bought but they have not attempted to fix it.5. Floor:•At BTs request, I had the floor levelled by BT. The floor is not level- to solve for this they cut into most of the doors leaving a large gap while my wardrobe door is now visibly uneven. They offered to reimburse me for half of what I was charged thus admitting that the floor is not level; unremediably so.6. Sound insulation:•I paid for sound installation for the floor and above my bedroom which has made no difference.7. Joinery:•The kitchen units weren’t aligned and the joinery in the wardrobes is uneven.•1 door knob fell off immediately.8. Project Management:•There was no supervision or substantive input from Ramas, who was supposedly managing the project. Instead, the work was led by someone wearing an ankle bracelet who clearly was out of his depth. I understand this person no longer works for Builders Team.•On a personal level, Ramas was aggressive, unreliable and unprofessional throughout.
