We have recently bought several rugs and items of furniture from The Weave and have been delighted with our purchases. Tim went out of his way to be available for us to view items beforehand and arranged for carpets (of a size requested) to be shipped over from Iran. Bought three absolutely beautiful rugs and couldn’t be happier with them. They are wonderfully unique and fabulously well made! Tim, the owner, is so knowledgeable about the origins of all of the products he sells and buys them directly from the makers so you know you exactly what you are getting for complete piece of mind.

Buying rugs from Persia, India etc. is a minefield in my experience. We came across Tim by accident whilst walking past the Clarence mill on the canal in Macclesfield. We had been looking to buy on-line but were reluctant to commit without seeing and feeling the quality and knowing more about the conditions under which they were produced. Tim has a wealth of knowledge on the subject and whilst he doesn’t hold a huge stock in his showroom, what he has is of excellent quality. Without prompting he allowed us to take home 3 rugs to see how they looked in our home. We were glad he did as we settled on the one that we probably wouldn’t have gone for based solely on a showroom viewing. A delight to do business with. Highly recommended.

The Weave in Bollington is a truely hidden gem for authentic Persian, Afgan and Indian rugs and carpets. The display room is packed with pure quality and Tim is a fountain of knowledge on the subject.The prices are fair and competative and I managed to agree a great deal with Tim for two beautiful and unique pieces, which are now proud centre pieces at home, and greatly admired by all who visit.The whole experience from start to finish is 5 star and I will be back to the Weave for my next purchase...

It is always a pleasure to visit the Weave as the Tim's (the owner) passion, enthusiasm and expertise regarding oriental carpets is lovely to hear. There is no hard sell, just an informed discussion about the carpets of interest, regarding the history of the design, its influences and the place of weaving. We were able to take several home and try them in situ before making any decisions. In addition to buying a rug, I have taken an antique rug in to be identified, cleaned and repaired. I received a written summary on its age, source and method of manufacture- as well as a very nicely repaired rug. I will definitely be back!

Tim is amazingly knowledge and his showroom is a joy to visit. We have bought several items from The Weave all of high quality and we know he is selective in buying from ethical sources. After sales is valuable with advice about cleaning and care.

I am one of those people that has something in mind then goes looking for it, only to find it doesn’t exists! After trawling around many, many rug shops I found this beautiful shop in Bollington ( made a day of it, lovely cafe and canal walks very nearby) whatever you can dream up is available here, with superior product knowledge the owner Tim kindly and gently guided me through the vast options. It was wonderful to find Tim personally selects the rugs from his visits to the country of origin, and has become friends with the craftspeople that make the stunning designs. I was delighted to have find three rugs i loved but making the final decision was tricky, so i was allowed to take all three to see which looked best! What amazing service, no other shop even came close to such knowledge, service and friendliness. I now have the most beautiful rug that looks amazing in my cottage, and am sure it will become a piece handed down for many years, such is the quality and timeless elegance. I highly recommend you visit, like me you will be impressed.
