I bought a pair of hobnail Shepherd’s Boots back in 1997. Just had their first repair.....replaced a broken hobnail! Cost, £5.00!Superb quality Footwear that lasts and lasts!

I'm the sort of heavy built chap that gets through modern made boots in usually 6 months ( the latest wore their sole though in 12 weeks! ) so after years of repeatedly suffering with rubbish boots I discovered William Lennon's. first pair is now 7 years old and on their second sole ( sent back to WL for a resole) so 3.5 years to wear though which I dont think is bad value, uppers still as good and supple as they were when I bought them, pair number 2 are external toe cap work boots which I've had 4 years and have seen garage and vintage tractor use and abuse and only now want a resole. pair number 3 are only about 3 years old and are kept for best, so see minimal use but are just as comfy as the others and polish up just as well. my dealings with the team a Lennon's have been second to none, from initial sizing to resole requests.

I now accidentally own 4 pairs of William Lennon boots, they are all excellent.

Fantastic shop and bootmaker.I’m a furniture maker, and I was getting through Screwfix’s own-brand ‘Site’ boots about every 6 months, at £30 a pop. They start off shiny and new but start to fail after a few months, and basically they fall apart and need to be thrown away.In frustration I went to William Lennon and got a pair of their Rufflander boots, which lasted about 3 1/2 years of 5-day a week workwear in my workshop. After all the hammer I’ve given them, the leather near one of the creases had just started to fail in the last couple of months, and so I have just bought another pair of their 940R boots. They are just as comfortable and well-made as the last pair, and I expect I’ll get another 3 or 4 years of wear out of them as well.I can’t recommend this company enough.
