For those of you who haven’t already heard of Russell Ackermann-Callow of London Timepiece I’m now about to introduce you to him. Russell is a professional clock restorer from London’s Thame-Side Studio’s who sports an extraordinarily large beard and specialises in the refurbishing of vintage English and European wall clocks.I my self have been an avid clock collector for many years, mainly windup wall and mantle chiming clocks. Then last year I came across London Timepiece by accident and I instantly became hooked. Russell specialisers in vintage English and European wall clocks, formerly electronic and now converted to running off batteries. The timepieces are heavy duty and in the main fairly large clocks which are already now gracing three of my rooms. I’m sure I will continue to purchase from Russell for as long as my passion for clocks continue.

I purchased this 1982 post office clock from London Timepiece and I couldn't be happier. Why buy a new clock when there are so many good ones that have already been made! I recently bought an East German mid-century clock from Russell. It has been restored beautifully, preserving the natural wear on the casing in a very sensitive way. I'm super happy with the clock and will be buying another one from him very soon!

I recently purchased a clock and I’m very pleased with my purchase. I was kept informed throughout the delivery process and it arrived very well packaged. The clock itself was exactly as described (if not a little better) and it’s clear a lot of time and effort has gone into making sure the clock has been restored to its former glory. I would highly recommend!

Russell Ackermann-CallowI have been looking for a wall clock for some time and I stumbled on The London Timepiece via a couple of third party selling platforms. Based on this I decided to get in touch and then visited Russell Ackermann-Callow's premises at his suggestion. Following up on his prompt email communications he was charming and helpful in person and has an obvious deep knowledge/keen interest in 20th century wall clocks. It was fascinating to hear Russell talk about his work and I came away with a purchase which I am very satisfied with. I would therefore highly recommend Russell Ackermann-Callow to anyone with a leaning towards acquiring an 'industrial style' wall clock or even a wall timepiece of a more traditional variety.
