Elmsleigh Surface Car Park

We visit the Staines food hall quite often and this is the closest car park. Always space and fairly reasonable.

This car park in Staines-upon-Thames is usually less busy than the ones at Two Rivers. It offers easier access to The Elmsleigh Shopping Centre, the Bus Station and the nearby shops such as Robert Dyas. If you park at the far northern end of the car park then you are close to the Premier Inn and the shops at that end of the High Street as well as the Italian Restaurant and businesses on the other side of the railway. The pricing structure differs from Two Rivers in that, for short term stays, it costs £1 an hour. They do, however, charge until 7pm at the daytime rate and then impose a fixed rate evening charge. Two Rivers is free to park after 6pm. There is no grace period at Elmsleigh Car Park and their clock isn't always set accurately. Allow time to return and pay, in case there is a queue at the machine. I recently used my mobile phone clock to return but according to their machine I was one minute late and I was charged for the next hour. As a rule, I use this car park if I am going shopping for a couple of hours during the day, especially at busy times, as they always have space. If I'm going to be in town after 6pm, then I use Two Rivers. To reach the shops from this car park, you have to cross over the road. There are pedestrian lights available but care, caution and patience are advised when crossing this busy town centre bypass.

Didn't park here. Was cycling through we managed to get a puncture and had to stop somewhere to fix it. We chose behind one of the outer facing walls. We were protected from the wind and cars on the road.We did notice how clean and debris free the pavement areas of the carpark were.

Ample parking with decent sized spots for larger cars however not always long enough for the bigger family 7/8 seater. Has plenty of spaces over 5 floors and a lift on level 1, 3 and 5. They are walking ramps to level 2 and 4. Pay machines are by the lifts on each floor including ground and there are machines on the way out. Areas are generally clean and maintained.

Quiet when I parked there so easy with 2 kids and a pram. Price is good aswell for parking.

Decent car park, close to the shops with pedestrian walkways, good paying machines and decent rates…

The payment machine said to accept Apple Pay, but the censor pad is facing downside, need to put mobile very close and difficult to use face to authorise payment

First time to Stains didn’t know where to park so chosen here. But soon you explore to the town centre you will find most people park at Two River’s car parking. Without saying the latter is more close to shopping centre, another reason is probably the payment machine in this car park is the worst I’ve used. Contactless doesn’t work, tried physical card payment still got declined even though you are 100% sure the pin entered were correct. Finally had to use the old way-Cash is King! (luckily I brought cash with me today for some reason), otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to leave this car parking. And I found out from other comments that it could have happened with your ticket destroyed. Fortunate enough this was not the case for me. Definitely no next time sorry!

Parking costs down to £1 per hour so no longer the rip off it used to be. Good disabled parking close to the entrance. Hope the prices stay low when Covid is over and the shops start to reopen.

Lots of spaces and decent lifts so you never have to wait long to get to and from your car.Exit gates recognise your number plate so leaving is pretty fast.Two directions to leave and enter (one towards Crooked Billet roundabout and the other towards the River) so you have options when it comes to avoiding traffic on the way out (or in).
