Went for my covid booster. The lady who checked me in at the outside door was very pleasant and friendly, however the lady actually giving the vaccination was abrupt to the point of rudeness. I was in and out in a couple of minutes which was great, but she really needs to work on her people skills!I know they're busy, and doing an important job, but there was no hello or goodbye, just questions and orders barked at me with such a sour face. I wasn't wanting a cosy conversation but a smile costs nothing!

Rarely answer accessibility bell, when they do you have to wait until all the people who go in after you are served. Why are they more important than disabled people?Got Perscription wrong twiceNever answer the phoneWebsite says it’s an insecure networkMy 16yo went in to buy a packet of paracetamol & ibruprofen ( 50p in the supermarket) they charged her just under £9…

Very unreliable service. Not helpful and rude staff. I am moving to another pharmacy. I have mobility issues and on my gps advice chose them to deliver. I was constantly let down by them.

This is, I think, the first time I’ve ever reviewed anything. I am doing it partly as I feel this is an inappropriate place for vaccinations. My experience was identical to a couple of other reviews I’ve seen here…I attended this morning for a flu jab. Waiting was outside in the cold. Another over 65 customer came out of the inside waiting area having been told she couldn’t wait inside. She described the assistant inside as very abrupt and sharp. (Another very elderly gentleman came to wait outside in the cold. ) She was totally correct about the abruptness of the assistant. Impersonal and rushed. Sleeve up, jab, out. I will never attend here for a vaccination again.

Just picked a prescription and was served by a very helpful young man who was let down by the awful energy created by his colleagues. When I first went in one assistant was slagging off a customer who had changed their mind about something while a colleague agreed that they werejust abusing the system". The first woman then stomped through to the office where I could here her angry tones continuing. Then the boss lady started speaking sternly to another colleague - it's rarely helpful to shame your staff in front of your clients. You would all do well to remember the dispensing area is visible through the perspex screen and not sound proofed. If your standard response about "speaking to that member of staff" is heading my way

I took my elderly mother for a Covid booster at Douglas Pharmacy today. The approach to the consulting room is via a rather dirty side entrance on a back lane. Nobody said hello or goodbye, and the abrupt instruction to roll her sleeve up, whilst the operator was waving a needle around, was very intimidating. No antiseptic wipe was used to clean the site first. It was over and finished in seconds, but a cleaner environment, and a cheery smile and greeting would have made all the difference.

Absolutely terrible service. When I first went in to pick up a prescription, I was waiting for over half an hour. They didn’t have my full prescription in so said they would contact me when the rest had arrived. Fast forward 7 weeks later, went to inquire about the rest of my prescription as I’ve heard nothing. Instead been told that they have marked the prescription as complete and won’t give me the rest of what I need. Not even an apology for this. Ended up having to contact my surgery as a result and sort it with them. Won’t be using them again.

Douglas Pharmacy offers an amazingly superb service. They are highly professional but also kindly and considerate.During the recent Covid Pandemic Lockdown they worked under tremendous pressures and still gave a remarkable service to myself and my wife. The Pharmacy is real gem and a wonderful asset to our local community.

I went for my Covid booster yesterday. Shown to a side door in a back lane, ordered in by a very abrupt lady, and given jab in a very abrupt manner. I requested the use of a toilet, as I had been travelling, but was told there was no useable toilet, and the staff didn't use it (what did the staff do for toilets then?). The staff in the main pharmacy seemed ok, just the woman giving the jabs was very abrupt.
