Gibbs Gillespie I am happy to highly recommend. The sale of my property was complex but they provided continual support and advice, always available to speak and give updates while managing all expectations and timeframes. George Callaghan was my agent and I cannot speak highly enough of his expertise in the field, I will definitely be using his services again in the future when buying or selling a property.

Very poor experience overall. When we first arrived the house had a litany of issues - no operational shower, bath had a major leak, toilet seat hanging off. These things were resolved eventually but it took quite some time.After each 12 month period they put you on a new contract with a new 6 month break clause, so long term renters will need to expect that inflexibility every year.On leaving the property, we had the carpet professionally cleaned and spent a whole day cleaning the property. There were a couple of things that needed some extra work - some time spent on the kitchen and bathroom for example - maybe 2 hours worth of cleaning total. They charged us £420 for this, which is the cost for a full professional clean. If I had my time again, I would not have bothered to clean the place at all - what’s the point, they will always find something which is not perfect, and then send the bill for the full clean.Same for tidying up the garden - £150 for 1 hour's work.For landlords - they will accept a lower rental offer in order to get people on their no deposit scheme, which means more money for them and less for you.

I was purchasing a flat sold by Gibbs Gillespie and the service they provided was fantastic from offer to completion. I had multiple issues with my solicitors, George and his team went over and beyond to help throughout, always picking up the phone when i needed them. TL;DR: Estate agent said we were going to a tenanted flat but it was actually a flat where somebody had evidently passed and had not been found for a while after the fact. Flat still smelt strongly of decay.Was taken to a viewing under the guise of the place being tenanted as a few days before our visit, the estate agent said she needed to check with the tenants to see if our viewing time was ok.When we got to the so-called tenanted flat, it was double bolted. When we were let inside by the groundskeeper, despite all the windows being open, there was an overpowering stench of DECAY.As we got to the main bedroom, I noticed they had excavated the flooring in the bathroom. Despite that, there was still a humongous patch of brown on the floor.I suspect that the poor soul who lived there had passed away in the flat, in that spot, and had unfortunately NOT BEEN FOUND FOR A WHILE.Never got so much as a courtesy post-viewing phone call from the estate agent, never mind an apology for the misinformation and bringing me to a horror scene.

I had a great experience with Gibbs Gillespie! My first contact was Clinton he did an amazing job by arranging the house within the expected time frame. Then I had interaction with Laura who also did a amazing job by sharing all the required documents in a timely manner and by responding to my emails promptly. Now my account manager is Chole with whom I am experiencing a great service as well. I have already recommended Gibbs Gillespie for few of my friends because of my experience with the team.
