Swindlers/overpriced, terrible customer service, and will never be going back.The first time I rented from this company a few months ago I showed up to pick up a rental truck I had reserved. I walk into the store and the first question I get asked was how old I was. I gave them my age not knowing the driver must be at least 22 years old and some older man in the back who wasn’t even the one helping me made a rude comment, “Did you not do any research on how to rent in this country?” I apologized even though when I was on the phone booking the rental they should’ve mentioned that criteria to me. I called a friend who was old enough to drive out who left his wallet in his car. When the worker asked to see his license my friend said he would be right back because he left his wallet in his car and then the same older man made another rude comment, “Did he not think he would need his license to drive a rental? You shouldn’t come unprepared.” And then scoffed at us. Fast forward to two days ago I thought I’d give the company a second chance. I asked to rent a vehicle and the whole process went smoothly this time. HOWEVER, I paid £150 to rent it for a full day at 1PM so I was under the impressions I had one full day (24 hours) to return it right? No, they wanted it back by 9AM the next morning which they did not tell me (though it is in the fine print or so I’ve been told). So when I turned it in at 11AM they charged my another £100 for the charge of another half a day of rental even thought I turned it in only 2 hours late (yet 2 hours before I was under the impression it actually needed to be turned in). Terrible service, overpriced, and unacceptable.

Very disappointed with our experience. Website says for largest moving truck 59£ for a day. We ended up paying 130. False information on their website. Heard amazing things about this company, but because of the more than 2x amount charged than advertised, will never use it again. Look elsewhere for your next move, who knows how much they will charge others because they decide to change prices when they feel like it.

Incredibly rude man who answers the phone. He aggressively demanded my NI number to check my licence, however I have since learnt this is against the law when all he needed was the licence check code which you need to complete yourself. Since got a better deal half the price with Alley Cat.

This was the first time I used Mildenhall van hire. Was very impressed with the whole experience, the van was clean and reliable and did the job. Would definitely use again and recommend.

I have used Mildenhire for vehicle rentals for 15 months now, obviously most of that during various lockdowns. Their service is always excellent and they go out of their way to accommodate your needs. I will not be giving my business to any other vehicle hire company any time soon.

I got a clean, well functioning van for a decent enough price today, so really a good experience. If you are German and in possession of an old school paper driver's license like I am, take some ID with you and potentially proof of residence when picking up the vehicle. Tank is not 'full to full' but you have to add whatever you used up before return. Google maps had some issues finding the postcode - wanted to send me into the airforce base. :)

Managed to rent a VW Crafter at very short notice to help with our move. Transaction was very smooth and quick. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be hiring from here again in the future if needed.

Supplied me a car at short notice. Car was very clean inside and out. Guy showed me all the controls of the car and had a walk round the car with me. They were happy to collect the car locally where I had to collect my car which had been repaired. Good service, well done.
