The original installation went very smoothly and efficiently, but we had to contact the company several times to replace hinges on a window that didn't close. Also we had to wait 10 weeks longer than for the windows for a side door although the supply issue was out of their control. The installers were very efficient and friendly. We really like the windows and door which look very attractive and are well insulated. The windows are very easy to open. The price wasn't cheap but comparable to other companies. Would recommend.

The guys who came to insert my French windows and new front door were really helpful and very neat workers. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very reassuring. I am very pleased with the work.

- although there was lots of contact during the sales process, once our job was commissioned we were passed over to Wholesale Windows in the Wirral who make and fit the windows- an upstairs window was fitted on the wonk. This is truly unacceptable. The window fitters fitted tilted, completely offline and tilted front to back. Our builders on site managing the rest of our project could not believe the poor quality of the fitting and told me they had never seen anything like it before.- the finishing of the windows with sealant was a mess. Looking at the windows in situ with messy sealant onto the brickwork was very disappointing and wee were shocked the quality of work was so poor. It was a sloppy job. The window installation manager agreed the quality of work done was not of a good standard and needed replacing to bring the job up to the quality expected. We had to wait around 6-8 weeks for this to be re sealed.- a survey was conducted by the company prior to fitting which confirmed the French doors could be fitted. After fitting the lintel dropped and doors could not be opened. Clearly the survey should have picked this up and this was an issue for our brickwork on front wall which was dropping with no lintel support. Despite calling and emailing (my emails were ignored) it took more than 6 weeks for the company to come and fix this- the window latches were fitted poorly meaning we could not lock shut some windows with the handles, and again, had to request for the job to be done again. We would have expected window fitters to test latches and ensure they work as part of their role in fitting windows

Top Job! Replaced all my windows with no bother or damage to my expensive new rendering (after all the nay-sayers said i should have got the windows done first). highly recommended!

Terrible experience from start to date (wish I could say to finish but we aren’t there yet!).I originally decided to use Wharfedale Windows in 2021 as they were the only company able to produce and install within 7 months - other companies had wait times of 12 months plus (now I know why).Originally a gentleman came around and we discussed options (all windows and front door replacement - c. £10k job). As security was key, due to living alone, I advised that I didn’t want a window in the front door - this was discussed at length and based on the design I agreed to compromise and go for a very small diamond shape window. Upon installation a long oblong window door arrived - I advised that this was not what had been agreed. I was shown the ‘contract’ which showed a hand sketched drawing suggesting that I had agreed to the longer window - given the security concern this was not the case and I was clear on this. I raised this with the installation team and they advised that it was my word against theirs and ‘I signed the contract’. Terrible attitude. Nevertheless they advised that they would be in touch to discuss once the job had been completed.Over a year on nobody has contacted me nor had the final invoice for the retention been issued (c. £2k). I have now received a debt collection notice stating that I have not responded to the ‘numerous’ attempts made to contact me. Having checked (and triple checked) not one person from this company has contacted me to either:1) discuss the issue with the door being incorrect, or2) bill the final amount.I responded within the hour to the first email received by Wharfedale Windows since my last in 2022 requesting detail as to who they have tried to contact and can they send backup / copies of such contact. I was advised that this was via “the operations manager whos emails we cannot access unfortunately”.This is not the first time I have been contacted with this tone and previously when trying to finish the job (obviously I wanted the job to be finished!) I had been advised (via a hand delivered NOTE though my front door - whilst I was in - no knock) that I had failed to respond to ‘numerous’ attempts to contact me - not one phone call was received!Worst customer service I have ever received. Stay away at all cost.

Very efficient and professional service

Paul & Gareth arrived on time at 9am, removed the existing timber-framed back door and fitted the new 3-pane bifold door by 12pm the same day. Doors ordered on 11 January and fitted within the 6 week estimate. John in the Ilkley showroom was friendly & great with the children and the follow up service prior to fitting was excellent. After placing the order, we were a little worried about the 1-star reviews but I would have no problems using the company again and would recommend them to anyone. Really pleased with the product and the service.
