I had read about this church in Simon Jenkins aenglands 1000 best churches and seen it was 4*, but in reality it was even better than I had imagined. The whole atmosphere was about nature and was so peaceful. Everyone should visit it.

Just a little off the beaten track but if your in the area then this lovely little church is worth a look. Not much else to see.

A small church with so much to see, go in walk round then pick up the guide and go round again. So many lovely things to see, and context makes it excellent. (I'm not a Christian but enjoyed visiting very much.). Donation invited, including by card. No WC. Plenty of parking on street.

St Mary's Church, Wreay is in the top 10 churches to be visited in England. The pictures don't do it justice. I will definitely revisit and spend more time in this sacred space.

Wonderful experience, beautifully maintained and presented church, which is also a worshipping community. Excellent sense of welcome, even being there alone.
