Essence Acupuncture

I have been visiting Kate for over 3 years now for treatment after a recommendation from a family member. I originally went with lower back pain, this was treated and I always feel fantastic afterwards. My job gives me a lot of aches & pains in my shoulders and back, regular visits to Kate keep me feeling great! I have massage, acupuncture & cupping. Even when I don’t have any aches or pains I will book an appointment to see Kate to keep on top of everything!I would like to add I live in Essex and wouldn’t visit anyone else, I wait until I return to Barnsley!! Kate always makes me feel at ease, explains what she’s doing and I always look forward to the treatments.

Due to cancer treatment, I was put into an early menopause. I contacted Kate to help with my hot sweats. Not only have they reduced in frequency, but in heat intensity too, in such a short time! Kate has also helped with so many other issues I'm experiencing. She always goes the extra mile and brings a calmness to me with her genuine empathy. I look forward to her coming, as I know I will feel relaxed and soothed. She is first class in what she does and I have recommended her to my husband and my parents, who now all have treatments with Kate.

Kate is amazing. Some of her observations on me by just feeling my pulse were uncanny. She goes over and above her role to help my anxiety and reduce any pain I’ve had from old sports injuries.

I was put into early menopause as part of my treatment for breast cancer. I was suffering quite bad hot flushes when a colleague recommended her acupuncturist. I wasted no time in contacting Kate. A friend had been successfully treated for hay-fever by acupuncture so I contacted Kate to ask if it would help treat asthma and joint problems. Kate was friendly and professional. She explained her treatments, acupuncture and cupping and that she regularly also massages. She also explained some problems may need longer treatment than others. Kate was very reassuring as I was a bit nervous at the thought of needles, which were no problem, and at acupuncture which was new to me. This was 3 years ago and in that time her treatments have made a huge improvement to my health. I have had treatment as needed, occasionally at short notice for pain relief.Additionally I badly damaged one foot and Kates treatment was brilliant, as well as the actual treatments she was very supportive. Recently I have had acupuncute and massage for some stomach issues which have now improved. Kate is very calm, provides a relaxed and professional atmosphere. She always clearly explains things, is very approachable. I fully recommend her.

I contacted Kate after having a full knee replacement and was struggling with stairs and lack of sensation. After just a few sessions I was able to move better. I have Been having regular treatment with Kate for the past 12 months due to having back and shoulder pain .I had been prescribed pain painkillers to help me however these didn’t seem to work .After visiting Kate and talking through my issues I can honestly say the acupuncture and cupping have both done me wonders .Kate is very professional and really friendly and I feel really at ease with her .I would highly recommend Kate for anyone suffering with any aches and pains . Since turning 30 my menstrual cycle has changed for the worse and the frequency of my migraines increased. After doctor appointments and trying various medications which weren't working I was recommenced to Kate. Since starting my treatments things are improving so much and I now have 'normal' cycles so I don't have to worry or have to plan my life around my cycles. My migraines have improved so much, I still get a dull ache but nothing paracetamol doesn't sort. It never progresses into a full migraine where I have to lay in a dark room and I'm vomiting for days like previously. Kate is so professional and friendly and she is passionate about her work. I feel comfortable with Kate and trust her 110%. The counselling session is an added bonus. I would highly recommend Kate to everyone.
