Millington Road Nursery School

The nursery grounds are really beautiful and intimate. The staff at first impression seem really good - however our two year old experienced racism from another child during her settling in period. The staff response was again at first glance adequate and on the right track. However eventually they closed around us made us to feel as though we inconvenienced them by bringing it to their attention and asking them to address it and to make other parents aware.We attended a meeting that was minuted completely different to the facts of what was promised and what happened.Unfortunately bad things happen, what was most disappointing about this interaction was the way in which the nursery wanted us to continue to bring our child whilst they did nothing substantial to address the root cause. Our two year old was traumatised by the incident for months.I write this so people are able to know how the nursery has handled such an incident in the past. In our dealings with them, they revealed that this wasn't the first time this had happened at their nursery.

My son went here for 3 years and loved it. They are really kind and caring, and it is a wonderful environment. Would highly recommend.

I highly recommend Millington Road Nursery for parents looking for a happy and nurturing environment for their children. When we moved to Cambridge, I looked at various nurseries and was immediately struck by the all-around happy faces of the children at Millington Road. I am so glad I chose this nursery as my daughter is thriving here. She settled in very well with no tears whatsoever, which is a testament to the caring and attentive staff who create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The nursery staff have been there for a long time, which shows their dedication and love for what they do. I'm also impressed that the nursery places a huge emphasis on sustainability and teaches the children about it. It's wonderful to see that the nursery is not only creating a fun and stimulating environment for the children, but also instilling in them an appreciation for the environment and how to care for it. My daughter has learnt so much through play, and the skilled and experienced staff provide a stimulating and engaging environment for the children. What I love most about the nursery is the emphasis on outdoor play, and I am always delighted to see the children having fun and learning in the fresh air when the weather permits. Overall, I am very impressed with the quality of care and education provided at Millington Road Nursery, and I feel lucky to have found such a wonderful place for my child.
