Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for all your efforts and expertise in creating our gorgeous wedding cake!!We LOVED it!It was just amazing and everyone was blown away by it! We adored the detail of the little piece being broken off and the icing on their paws and noses! It was just what we wanted. And the entire design sat so stunningly amongst the rest of the room set up.Also, the sticky toffee pudding cake was an absolute winner! *Chef's kissSo glad we managed to book you, it's been a stress and hassle free experience for us, beginning to end.

During our two week holiday in Cornwall, our baby girl was due to turn 1! We knew for her first birthday we wanted something special for a birthday cake and something she could remember! We tried everywhere we could think of… bakery, cake shops, coffee shops you name it we tried it! I came across Gemma from “White Peony Cake Co” on instagram, having had a look through photos of her work, I thought what’s the worst in trying to get in contact. After all she was our last resort before we had to result to a shop brought cake! Gemma got back to us very quickly, informing us she could grant our wish and make a beautiful cake for our baby girl! Emails were pass to and fro and Gemma knew our what ideas we roughly wanted and we gave her full creative control! As a result of poor weather we decided to come home a day early and Bless Her, Gemma was happy to oblige and get our daughters cake ready a day early! On collecting the cake, I was absolutely gobsmacked, I was amazed! It brought a tear to my eye and just what I had envisaged for what I wanted!The cake lasted well during a 4 hour journey home on my lap home, and was extremely pleased we got it home in one piece! The day of the birthday arrived and the cake was cut! OMG from the layers of the cake, the ganache, the jam to the icing! It tasted absolutely amazing and was enjoyed buy all who got to try a piece! Gemma even went above and beyond and changed her normal icing made seashells into chocolate so as to not give my baby girl too many e numbers! This wasn’t even a thought that crossed my mind and was extremely grateful she had made the swap, my children loved the chocolate seashells!Such a beautiful cake, and amazing cake baker Gemma! We cannot thank you enough or recommend you enough to others! The cake was amazing and we will definitely be back to order with you again next July! This time will give you a little more notice than 5 days or so! Thank you once again xxx

Gemma has been an absolute angel! She was very accommodating and responsive to our queries. She customized it the way we have wanted and and she didnt fail to amaze us The cake she baked was lovely and not too sweet. We had 3 flavours as we requested. The guests loved it and kept on asking for more.

We asked Gemma from White Peony cake company to do our wedding cake 2 years prior to our wedding day once we had secured our date. We are not from Cornwall & had little knowledge of where to even start looking for someone to make our wedding cake so the venue recommended us White Peony cake Company as a trusted favourite of couples getting married at Lusty Glaze, Newquay.Once I contacted Gemma she sent us a taster box to make sure we were happy & decide which flavours we really liked.We had various emails asking us questions on what we wanted, ideas we had, rough sketches & patterns … she wanted to know every detail from our colour scheme to our choice of decor & wedding dress design. She was really interested in making sure she got it right & we knew she had poured her heart & soul into making our cake the masterpiece it was….Wow! The cake did not disappoint! Guests described it as “straight out of a Disney film” … 4 tiers decorated carefully with hand made shells & textured paper to give the effect of waves splashing against the rocks. Gold paper was incorporated into it to add colour & vibrancy … edible pearls where carefully placed on each of the tiers for that perfect balance of glint & glamour.The taste was heavenly & my personal favourite was the lemon! Absolutely divine. & we all enjoyed cake for breakfast the next day!!!I am blown away by Gemma’s dedication to each of her designs. Her attention to detail went above & beyond. She really made us realise that a wedding cake isn’t just a cake! It’s a piece of art that holds a special place in our wedding memories.Thanks so much Gemma!Lots of love,Annabelle x

Gemma at White Peony Cake Co is a real gem! Gemma was there for us throughout the whole process from sending taster boxes to planning the design. She made it all so easy. On the day Gemma was punctual and pleasant. She was so professional at the set up; even when we realised our rustic cake stand wasn't exactly level! She took it in stride and made sure our cake was stunning and stable! The cake itself was so beautiful, Gemma's work with the flowers was just perfect; and most importantly it tasted divine! All of our guests loved it and couldn't stop talking about how yummy it was! Thank you so much Gemma, you're a true artist.

Wow! What can I say?! This cake was absolutely incredible from the look of it to the taste! All of our guests, including my wife and I, were absolutely wowed by our jaw-dropping cake. It really was the cherry on the top of the most amazing day!The cake was exactly what we had asked for and Gemma delivered just that. The personal touches and real interest in our day just through email correspondence really made working with Gemma so special and meaningful. We would absolutely recommend White Peony Cake Co. to anyone! Everything was just perfect!

Gemma was absolutely fabulous throughout the whole experience we had with our wedding cake! The taster boxes were so much fun to sample and help us decide upon our favourite flavours (the lotus biscuit & white chocolate layer… there are no words for how yummy it was!). Gemma had the patience of a saint with someone like me who changed the design and size I don’t know how many times… sorry!! And in the end it was simply perfect. Dressed with flowers from our wedding florist (Cornwall Floral Design - also amazing!!), and our personalised topper, we were in awe. Everyone said how beautiful it looked and how scrumptious each layer was. The best part, we asked the venue to keep some cake back for us after, and got to enjoy it again and again until we sadly finished every last bite! Honestly, thank you so much Gemma, if only we could do it all again! You’re a star x
