I have been a client of Lainey for over 10 years. She is really brilliant at doing colour and restyle. Excellent at listening to exactly what you want and giving good advice. New salon is beautiful and also really handy with parking outside in city centre. I already recommend the salon to friends and family.

Definite thumbs up for Lorraine at House of Hair. I am extremely particular about my hair and how it is cut having had the same hairdresser cutting my hair in Sydney for the last 10 years so finding a new hairdresser in Aberdeen was tricky. Tried once with someone else and did not get the desired result but I then found Lorraine and had a consult last Saturday which was great as she really tuned into what I needed and I felt listened to and she understood how my hair needed to be cut as its long but fine. Saw her last night and she did a great job at putting the style back in my lifeless hair. She had gone above and beyond researching the particular cut I liked and then worked her magic. If you are looking for a new salon and stylist go speak to Lorraine and her team and you won't be disappointed. I have also heard fabulous reviews for her stylist Abby. Five stars from me :)

I have visited for the first time yesterday and had my hair done by Abby and it was one of the best experiences I had in many years. She listened to what I wanted and gave me a good advice. She was so lovely and chatty the whole time. I am very satisfied with my colour and already booked my next appointment.

This is a lovely salon which is still a bit of a 'hidden gem' in Aberdeen. It's just off Union Street with free parking outside. The staff are brilliant at what they do and it has a very warm and friendly vibe. I'm currently going through my 'grombre' journey and Lorraine is helping me a lot with how to go through that process.I've also been lucky to work with Lorraine Malcolm and her team as a branding photographer and the staff are so much fun to work with!

Review for House of Hair - May 27, 2023I recently visited House of Hair for a haircut, and while I had a positive experience with the salon's appointment process, I was unfortunately disappointed with the final result of my hair.First and foremost, I must commend House of Hair for their excellent handling of appointments. The staff was efficient and professional in assisting me with scheduling a convenient time for my visit. They were attentive and made sure to accommodate my preferences, which created a positive initial impression.However, when it came to the actual haircut, I was left feeling unsatisfied. I had brought in a picture of the specific hairstyle I desired and communicated my expectations clearly to the stylist. Unfortunately, the final outcome did not reflect what I had envisioned. It seemed as though the stylist didn't quite grasp the intricacies of the style or lacked the necessary skill to execute it accurately.The disappointment I felt upon leaving the salon was certainly disheartening. It's always disconcerting when the desired outcome of a haircut isn't achieved. As a customer, I place a significant amount of trust in the stylist's ability to bring my vision to life, and in this case, it fell short of my expectations.Despite my disappointment with the outcome of my haircut, I want to acknowledge the positive aspects of my experience at House of Hair. The salon's ambiance was pleasant, and the staff members were friendly and professional throughout my visit. They were attentive to my needs and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the process.In conclusion, I appreciate House of Hair's efficient appointment system and the professionalism of their staff. However, I left the salon disappointed as the final result of my haircut did not match the style I had shown and expected. I hope that the salon takes customer feedback into consideration and works to improve their execution of desired hairstyles in the future.

Abbie was great and styled my hair exactly how I wanted it. Added bonus was the free parking right outside which is rare for the city centre.

I spent years trying to find a hairdresser in aberdeen when i first moved here. Then i found Lainey. I have been going to Lainey for over 15 years now. She is professional, knowledgeable, welcoming, fun and friendly. The new salon on Dee street is truly an extension of her. I love going along to enjoy the relaxing environment. I have always left feeling truly pampered, refreshed and with a fabulous new hair do. If you haven’t tried this salon already, I would highly recommend that you do. You don’t know what you are missing.

From my mother-in-law...I am visiting my son and daughter-in-law in Aberdeen from South Africa and was desperate for a good hair cut and style. I could do nothing with my hair! My daughter-in-law booked me in with Lorraine at House of Hair. I am so impressed with my cut as my hair now just falls into place. Very little blow drying necessary. The service was also very friendly and the salon is lovely.

Great place! Been going here for over 7 years now and will not go anywhere else. Great at accomodating appointment changes or last minute appointments. Would highly recommend.
