I have visited this charity a few times, and always find it a wonderful experience. There are so many goodies on offer, and you could find yourself a fantastic bargain! I have always found the staff and volunteers really friendly and willing to help.Recently, when I visited with a friend the staff and management went over and above normal expectations to help her out after finding out her personal circumstances. The positive difference they made to her life through the help given is very much appreciated.During a conversation with some of the volunteers and staff I discovered just how much this small furniture charity help support people with learning difficulties and mental health issues. They really are an asset to the community.Five stars guys! Keep up the fantastic work - Highly recommended.

Very unhelpful staff,Hold items back for people and dealers. Or take items for themselves..Manager has a chip on her shoulder and talks to you like you shouldn’t be allowed in there. Plus smoking in premises where there’s flammable items around, highly unprofessional.Along with the highly priced items. Some being more expensive than they were brand new!Would strongly recommend not to use this service. More productive companies and services available than this.Bad attitude and bad service!

We took some furniture there in very good conditions, some new, on a Saturday afternoon. They told us that we had to go before 10am and they did not even come out to see the stuff. We offered to unload ourselves from the van and they still refused to accept it. All went to the skip. What kind of charity is that?

Was dealt with over the phone in a very rude and unhelpful manner by a woman named Carol who When I tried to explain a serious complaint was told.'Not My Problem'The attitude and rudeness continued an hour later when I went there in person. If Castle continue to employ this person she needs to be sent on a customer awareness course because she has no clue how to deal in a proper manner with customers or members of the public. Her continued employment will simply alienate customers.DISGRACEFUL.

Last week we were saying goodbye to a much loved second home.. It was fully furnished and we were giving most of it to The Castle Furniture Project. So much could have gone wrong as we were on a tight time schedule and very aware that some of the furniture was bulky, heavy and as I thought, difficult to manoeuvre. To complicate matters access was through a narrow Pend where house martins were also feeding their young.I need not have worried. Lisa, Connor and Phil were amazing. They are true professionals as well as lovely people, who know exactly what they are doing. The furniture including a heavy sofa bed and a large wardrobe were removed efficiently, and without a single mishap. The house martins remained safe and continued to feed.To anyone considering donating to this very worthwhile charity , I would say do go ahead. You will meet with gratitude for your gifts but also with courtesy, efficiency and a professional removal service.Thank You.

Been here recently, and was a little worried after having seen low ratings and people talking about being treated unkindly. My friend and I experienced no such thing. Process was easy (there’s a little sign which instructs you to write down item numbers on paper, you let the staff know at the end when you’d like to buy).I didn’t ask staff about the items of furniture. As far as I am aware they aren’t meant to be experts on what they’ve got in stock.Areas customers shouldn’t enter are clearly marked.I saw loads of gems and dare I say a museum worthy piece too! Will be returning soon!

Disgusting greed from this shop. I'm sorry but for something meant to help out the less fortunate the prices are awful. 400 pound for a two seater couch. 100 pound for side table. Almost 200 for a bed frame. For getting this stuff free and selling it at these prices it is without doubt corrupted greed.

My daughter had a double bed and mattress used 3 times. Corresponded on line. And castle responded quickly to confirm. Date was suitable all covid info given. And was able to track the place in queue for pick up. Pick up seamless. Very pleased

Phoned first to check if they had what I was looking for as I'm 50 minute return drive. Found the lady very unhelpful, didn't take the time time to listen and couldn't wait to get me off the phone. After speaking with the very helpful and caring Glenrothes branch, decided to pop along anyway and found what I wanted. Was served by a very helpful, if a bit unsure, young lad with blonde hair.

The worst, greedy company I’ve ever came across. Buy something cash, ie electrical, take it back cause it doesn’t work, they’ll take 20% re-stocking fee (they call it). So your money back minus 20%, who does that. And won’t care if they get bad reviews either.
