Summerfield Stables- Horses in the Community

I love this place it's amazing, and my confidence has grew over the years, i have been volunteering for 6 years. I have learnt how to ride and all of the other things to do with horses. I love this place with all of my heart ❤.

The best stables ever! Staff are amazing,the horses are so well looked after. My daughter loves this place so much for the confidence and happiness it has brought her. Highly recommended and I would shout from the rooftops.

Great place for kids and adults.

We had my daughter's 6th birthday there this afternoon. All the children (and adults) had a great time. All of the team were fab and kept 13 lively kids entertained. The children loved learning about the horses, grooming and riding them. Highly recommend- perfect party for a horse lover.

I would highly recommend the summerfield stables. My son started month ago but the progress he made is amazing. It’s helps him with confidence, socialism and understanding how hard work is to look after horses as the kids get to groom them, help with cleaning and feeding. He’s got autistic spectrum so it’s very hard for him to open up and with very high social anxiety he finds it difficult to be in new environment. But the volunte and amazing workers there helped him so much to feel like he belongs there. He’s coming home happy and asks me to take him more often. Location is a really bonuses as well because it gives easy access for community. They offer so much help I cant thank enough to all the stuff for the advice they gave me and all the support they give to my son every time he goes there. It’s open for for the community to come and volunteer help around. It’s a great way of teaching the kids responsibility’s and to give insight to how much they can offer. Would highly recommend for kids with special needs. Stuff is trained and helps the kids achieve them small steps to take them out of comfort zone and all in a family friendly environment.

I love this place I come every Monday and Friday it's amazing and the staff are so nice.Their horse are also good and I love to ride them and look after them.I really like coming.

Great community project, helping animals by providing a safe home. Helping young people by providing valuable skills and enjoyment to assist their growth and well-being. Founded and run by a remarkable lady and her daughter with hard work and pride. We need more support for worthwhile charities like this.

My children started to go horse riding here a year and a half ago , they previously went somewhere else but I changed as I felt my kids weren’t making any progress.Since starting summerfield stables, they just are amazing , the staff who I know ; Imogen and Laura are two of the most hard working and lovely people I know . The stables are well kept and all the staff are so friendly . The place has quite a rustic feel to it, and I just love putting my welly boots on and going with my children. My kids really look forward to the lessons and I can see they make progress each time , Imogen always ensures she gives her all in the lessons , and my kids have responded really well ....Definitely highly recommended

I've been at the stables for 11 years and consider it a second home. Here you meet some wonderful people and gain skills you would never learn anywhere else. The fact that the stables isn't well known and is hidden well away from the city bustle allows you to escape and indulge yourself in everything that happens down there.The overall experience of working alongside the animals and people in such an environment allows young people to grow as individuals and helps build the confidence of the riders and the horses that we rescue.I cant thank everyone enough for the time i spent here and am very sad to be leaving to go to university. So i only wish the best for the place and everyone who takes time out to work, volunteer, teach and ride there.

This is a great place to go as there is never nothing to do. The best community I have ever seen. Great fun and hard work there. Never had more fun in my life. I never regret coming here at any point. It gives a massive break from the world that stresses u and turns u into a more bright and confident person. All worries and doubts taken when u r here. :)
