William is an incredible teacher, patient and fun. My son is new to playing the piano and has just passed his first exam with Distinction thanks to William and his teaching. Very impressed with a professional and friendly service. Couldn't ask for more. Would definitely recommend.

I am an adult beginner (aged 54) learning to play piano and have been taking lessons with Wirral Piano since August 2022.William Binden is a wonderful teacher (and musician) with a wealth of experience – he is patient, methodical, engaging and my lessons with him are joyful. His friendly, professional and intuitive approach is perfect for me as an adult beginner.William’s style of teaching has provided me with a wider understanding of music and I am progressing each lesson developing my music reading skills and piano technique at a comfortable pace.William encouraged me to take my first pre grade piano exam just a few weeks ago and I was delighted to pass with a distinction. With his encouragement, motivation and support I am now working towards my Grade 1.William’s piano studio is a wonderful space to learn in and I hope to continue to enjoy lessons with Wirral Piano for many years to come.

I returned to piano playing after a 15 year hiatus, starting lessons with Will, 2 years ago. He has also been teaching my daughter, a piano novice, for the last year. Despite the challenges of the last 18 months, Will has remained enthusiastic and committed to us both as students. His approach to teaching is fantastic, ensuring enjoyment and understanding of the music and instrument. Will is well organised and communicates clearly with his pupils. We would both highly recommend Will as a piano teacher!!

I started as an absolute beginner but have been taking piano lessons with Will for over a year now, and just achieved a distinction in my grade 1 exam. Exams aren’t for everyone but I decided they were important to me as a marker for progress and a chance to build playing confidence. Will is an excellent teacher, taking the time to understand the playing needs and desires of his students, then shaping lessons and tutorage around them. He also has a broad knowledge of musical history and culture, which is a great supplement when being introduced to new pieces and styles. Absolute value for money and highly recommended!

I started piano lessons later in life than most, and had no prior knowledge of reading music, so was really starting from zero! Will is an excellent teacher, supportive, challenging and clearly passionate about what he does. I am really happy with the progress I have made so far and look forward to progressing further. I started lessons with Will over a year ago now, having struggled to find the right kind of piano teacher for some time. Having lessons with him has totally changed the trajectory of my piano playing (for the better!), and he has helped nurture the enthusiasm in me.Will is also clearly a very accomplished musician, and his love for music really comes through during his lessons. I look forward to his lessons each week, he is always patient and will always be honest with me in how my playing is coming along.Even after having moved away from the Wirral, I continue to do lessons with Will over video call as he is such a good teacher. I’ve had 4 lessons with Wirral Piano and in that time I’ve been guided to a distinction in my grade 1 which I was very happy with. I had been trying to pick things up on my own previously with some success but William was able to channel my efforts in a much more focussed way. He has also helped me understand the path I want to go, in terms of the music I want to play, and therefore what I need to learn.I've had some music experience (Trombone and Classical Guitar) and I knew I didn’t want to play classical pieces and through discussion, and a little trial and error, I’m now firmly on the Jazz / Blues path with a clear goal of being able to improvise and play from lead sheets.The key thing here is that we all have our own musical path and we need someone to help us along that path. The beauty of Wirral Piano is that William has all the skills for whatever style you want to play and his teaching style is excellent - very encouraging but also gently challenging to make sure you get the best out of yourself. I highly recommend Wirral Piano.

I started piano lessons with Will four months ago. I had little practical experience and only a basic grasp of music theory. The lessons are very well structured, and Will is an extremely patient teacher; he is also a very talented musician with a brilliant knowledge of all musical genres. His enthusiasm for music, and for teaching music really shines through. His studio is also excellent - comfortable and inviting, which helps to put you at ease. I cannot recommend Will highly enough.

Will is an outstanding teacher and a great musician! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Lessons are interesting and go by very quickly.
