Burnbrae Home

My experience has been a positive one I found the staff to be helpful and well informed. I would recommend anyone looking for care of their loved one to visit this beautifully situated care home.

One of the most disappointing services to exist was interred by the manager and some uptight manager never caught his name though I asked questions about the service and he said “remember we’re conducting the interview” really weird environment and the staff hate new people...avoid!!

I cared for my mother for over a decade, and at one point she made me promise faithfully that I would NEVER put her in a home... I had no choice in the matter, it was the Social Work department. I was deemed, due to my own disabilities, not up to providing her with the level of care they reckoned was required. I have seen many residential homes in my time, and I can honestly say that, private or Council-run, Burnbrae is the best I have encountered. The staff are terrific and all the residents I've met seem very happy. Well, except for my Mum, who, every time I see her, is convinced I'm taking her home... the story we've concocted to keep her calm and prevent her 'going off on one' has just enough truth in it to salve my conscience and all the staff I've met know how to deal with her to EVERYONE'S benefit! Yes, it's sad to see the difference in my mother that comes with vascular dementia but, on the upside, she really could not be in a better place than Burnbrae!
