Highland Gate
Stayed here overnight at the adjoining Hotel. Breakfast was 10/10. The thing that made the stay really special was the quality of the customer service. The chap at breakfast was really friendly and made sure our party were well looked after, following a particularly heavy night on the town. Superb place and would be back in a heartbeat. Thank you!!

Service was great. Very attentive and accommodating of our baby. Food was really tasty. We also saw how accommodating the staff were to other families with additional needs. Great family friendly area. We weren’t in the bar section but it looked lovely and cosy (nice wood fire burning). Reasonably priced too. We had a great time and will recommend.One star loss because the lights kept going out.

I had a especial request and in spite of saying no problem, they brought the wrong item. Capressa salad had three tiny cheese cubes. The gammon had a hair on it. Apart from Amy, the waitress, that was very very nice, everything else is mediocre.

What a gem of a place to have lunch after an 8 hour drive from South West England.Plenty of parking at the rear of the restaurant. And no steps to deal with, so easy access for disabled customers.Our waiter for this visit was Lewis Brown, he was very polite, helpful and importantly he also checked to ensure we had no food allergies which my wife does have.Food was excellent!! I had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger and my wife their Signature Burger. Both were excellent as was the home made coleslaw and the French fries. We were both full and shared a Espresso Martini Tiramisu which we both agreed was the best dessert we had had in a long while.I highly recommend it!!!

We were a large group of 25 and very much enjoyed our Christmas Lunch. A diverse, well-priced menu attracted many of our group to come. The booking process was straight forward with excellent interaction with the manager/s prior to the day. The festive meal itself was well-presented, tasty and nicely served. Unfortunately the coffee machine was broken and the alternative wasn't good so the manager didn't charge us which was well-received. All in all, well satisfied, thank you.

I love the Highland Gate at Stirling. It's very family orientated and the staff are always professional and helpful. It's lovely and clean. My grandson always enjoys his visit to the kids play area. Love the food and the prices. All round good value

1st time visiting here and it wad lovely. Was in with my partner. We both had steaks. They were cooked just as we requested. We had peppercorn sauce and a cheesy garlic bread aswell. I couldn't say no to a pudding so had sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, it wad amazing. Service was quick, very friendly and we didn't wait long for our order to arrive. Will definitely be back again. Thanks for a great meal.

I had dinner last night with my son and I am sad to say it was extremely disappointing in general.We chose from the set menu and had two courses each.My son had the tomato soup which arrived in the tiniest soup bowl I have ever seen. The accompanying piece of ciabatta was bigger than the soup bowl.When the mains came, I could not believe it. My son had the chicken 'tenders' which looked far from tender and again a small portion, looking more like a starter than a main.I chose the steak and chips with a supplement of 2 pounds.The steak was absolutely tiny, tough, tasteless and overcooked.Accompanying the steak was a mini jug of gloopy bernaise sauce, undercooked chips, tomato and a sad looking drop of pea shoots, which looked liked they had shot a long time before they landed on my plate.We asked for a Pepsi and a soda water and lime which both came automaticslly in pint glasses, no question asked what size of glass we wanted.I had the crumble with ice cream for dessert. This was passable, but like my son's soup, for some bizarre reason it was served on a grotty old chopping board.I did not complain until near the end as we had several different servers and we were in a bit of a hurry to get to the pictures.The explanation given by one of the servers was that the soup was 'pre portioned' as were the steaks as they were all 6 inches! The server also mentioned that I had not been the only one to comment on the steak sizing.I went to the bar to get the bill and it was around 45 pounds.I said I wasnt happy about what we had so 7 pounds was deducted. In my opinion it was still such a waste of money and a huge disappointment.So come on Highland Gate..you must try harder. As a result of last night, I would not return or recommend so you are only doing the business a diservice.
