Iron Hill
Great long walks and twisting paths through the wood. Excellent day out for a walk or a just a quick hour stomp to get a sweat on.

Really lovely hike/walk. Plenty of tracks and established pine Forrest, doesn’t get too busy either. Roughly 2miles to do the complete loop starting and ending at the car park just off the main road.

A fantastic walking opportunity for those who just want to explore, or those walking dogs! Large paths and easy directions, can get lost but not far from the main path if you divert into the abyss that is the tall trees!

Good place for a walk. Decent paths, some longer routes linking across to other areas of common land and forest. The cast park is rather small and gets busy though. Very popular with dog walkers, not all of who are good about picking up their dog's mess so do be careful.

Wonderful forestry walks, some very well established and signed trails, other paths through wood, bracken and heather. Perfect dog walking, good parking

Iron Hill
A nice place for a walk, although the car park is often a target for thieves, so be sure not to leave anything valuable in your car. It's also a sensitive site for rare ground-nesting birds, in particular nightjars, and is therefore unsuitable for dog-walking in the birds' nesting season, between April and September. If the birds are disturbed by the presence of dogs, they leave their nests, leaving the eggs/offspring vulnerable to predation by other wildlife - crows in particular.

Good walk for the wet season. Lots of dog walking companies go here so make sure your dog is under control when needed.

Autumn colours with the trees are so beautiful. Great place to come to walk your dog. It's deceptive because it goes on for miles if you leave the main walkway. Well managed woodland.
