Archway of Scone
Part of the Scone Palace estate owned by The Earl of Mansfield. Thus presumably is the old main entrance to the palace. However, there are no info boards telling you the history of it. ☹️

Archway of Scone
Lovely view of Scone Palace through this 500 year old gateway. It was the entrance to the abbey that once stood on this site. Turn right at the archway and follow the path past an interesting old graveyard to get to the beech maze.

Archway of Scone
Once the entrance to the Abbey and the Palace beyond the Arch from the now moved village of Scone , it has stood for over 500 years and gives a wonderful frame of the palace.
