Words cannot describe how fantastic Vicki and the team at Aikwood Tower made our wedding day.From our first visit to Aikwood we fell in love with the venue; an historic exterior with incredible views of the area, contrasted by a modern interior. It was so special to have exclusive use of the venue for the weekend and a great atmosphere having our guests able to stay with us, and they all raved about the setting.The best part about Aikwood was working with Vicki. Nothing was too much for her and she was more than happy to help us incorporate our ideas for the wedding. Without her we definitely wouldn’t have been able to realise our wedding day in the way that we did. Her calmness throughout the day meant it went off without a hitch.We’re already planning our anniversary trip back. Just the most stunning place to stay. We were a party of 12 and we had a fabulous time, playing table tennis, enjoying the pretty grounds, sitting around the large open fire and most of all just being in such a wonderful old building which oozes history, full of nooks and crannies and little things to discover. Vicky (I think!), who looks after the place, was also very kind and helpful in letting us stay in the warmth hours after our checkout time when we had car trouble.

Beautifully restored 500+ year old stone tower. Sleeps 10 people in 5 lovely rooms. Seamlessly blends old and new with both comfort and style. Full kitchen, sitting room with big fireplace & firewood, and outdoor garden/orchard. And yes - there is a spiral stone staircase ;) note that the venue is not wheelchair accessible as there are steps to nearly every room in the tower.

Outstanding! Fortunate enough to spend three nights here. Nothing more you could ask for, truly feels like a home with everything you need. The owners are extremely accommodating, nothing too much trouble. If your looking for a venue for a memorable experience, you just found it!

We got married at the Tower in October and it was amazing. Vicki and her team made us feel welcome, special and individual, we couldn't have asked for a better location it really has the WOW factor.We stayed for a week in the run up to the big day and this meant we were relaxed and felt at home.We have booked to stay for a week for our 2nd anniversary and cannot wait to go back.

How to start... WOW!!! When we visited Aikwood Tower and met Vicki we were blown away by its beauty and relaxed feel and we knew straight away it was the prefect venue for us. During the lead up to our wedding Vicki was attentive and helpful making all of the planning such an easy task. When the weekend arrived everything was just perfect, Vicki and her team worked so hard to ensure everything flowed and went to plan and everything exceeded our expectations and more! The Tower internally is stunning, the rooms are beautiful and every detail has been thought through with such love and attention. Gorgeous comfy beds, you don’t want to get out of! beautiful bathrooms, stunning interiors and soft furnishings, a cosy open fire and a stunning outdoor space. Aikwood Tower will hold a very special place in our hearts now and we will be back many times I’m sure, but what really makes this romantic, country, historic peel tower that extra bit special is Vicki and her team. We got married at Aikwood during a weekend in May. The venue was absolutely stunning from the moment we arrived - up the hill and in the woods. It was such a unique venue, and the ability to use various rooms for each setting created a very special vibe. Our family stayed at Aikwood for 3 nights, and we appreciated the cosy atmosphere it provided. Each of the common rooms are decorated nicely, and they allow for guests to really relax. The individual rooms with ensuite bathrooms were actually quite large, and beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable inside. The grounds of Aikwood are lovely, and Vicki, the manager, is able to help with anything at a moment's notice. I could not recommend this venue enough, we loved it.

We had our wedding at Aikwood Tower in July 2022 and it was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived to the morning we checked out we felt very cared for and welcomed. The accommodations were comfortable (even for a 500 year old tower!) and it was easy to get settled in for the week. The kitchen was definitely a highlight for all of the guests. Vicki was such a great host and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay and for the wedding. Communication with her was great over the many months leading up to the wedding day. Her familiarity with many of the local vendors and proactive communication helped everything come together seamlessly. The actual wedding day itself ran flawlessly with all of our guests enjoying themselves and the beautiful setting. This was such a magical place and we are so grateful for everyone at Aikwood Tower that made our week so memorable. We can't wait to come back!

This was a beautiful venue for my friends wedding. The tower is so unique and the gardens lovely and peaceful. I would highly reccomend it for a function, enjoyed the range of rooms and being able to use the kitchen freely.

We had a small destination wedding here, and the Tower and manager Vicki surpassed every expectation. Vicki was very responsive, helpful, and thoughtful during the wedding planning and the wedding weekend, often going above and beyond. The vendors worked together seamlessly to create a stress-free and perfect wedding day. Several guests told us it was their favorite wedding they'd ever attended! Also, I cannot overstate how wonderful it is to have a big and beautiful 500 year old tower to yourselves for a weekend (or week). All the rooms were beautiful, and everyone was so happy with their accommodations. It is full of local touches, and even has its own signature scent throughout the tower. Don't hesitate to host an event or stay at Aikwood Tower!
