JJ's Looe
Great pub, with happy friendly staff, beers cold and reasonable prices, great to watch sport. Work in progress, but coming along great.

Great sports bar with very friendly staff. Had a great time there. Multi screens with lots of different matches on.

An uncomfortable experience.A standard league football bar with dated opinions. Unfortunately, whilst there to watch the lionesses in the World Cup, we were surrounded by comments from other customers in the bar referring to women’s football as ‘this s____’ and that they’d rather watch ‘actual football’. When the women’s football was then removed from most of the screens in the bar to make way for a premier league match, we made a comment to the staff that if this was the Men’s World Cup, they wouldn’t be turning anything off - to which they immediately told my friend to ‘go f ___’ herself. Delightful. This isn’t somewhere I would want to go ever again as a female, with my family, or with children. This place and the clientele we experienced (on this day) are one of the reasons why women face such prejudice in sport.

We went in to JJ’s on Saturday having just arrived in Looe, England Women’s was on the telly and a large family group of 10 came in with children in football kits and asked if they could have some of their teams game on. The barman, who had been running around accommodating everyone, put it on and kept the women’s game on as well. The atmosphere was incredible and different families were all discussing their different teams and how they thought the season was going to go as well as watching the women’s game. Exactly what a sports bar should be! The service was incredible, we spent the rest of the week popping in to have drinks and it was a lovely atmosphere for both children and adults.

Fancy watching the Women's World Cup? Look elsewhere - they'll commit only one of their 6 screens even with quarter finals matches for an England match.. even with multiple requests from customers to show this on multiple screens apparently a 2nd league mens match matters more.. some sports bar eh..

Apparently someone asking for the women’s football game on more than 1 screen was too much to ask for. Unclean facilities in particular the toilets, and tables. As a male myself, i’m ashamed to say i witnessed such narcissistic attitude from the staff. The male staff should be ashamed. Would not recommend this pub, to anyone looking for a friendly pub.
