Cleansing for Change

I have just spent a magical six days at this wonderful cleansing retreat in Glastonbury. I can honestly say it has been one of the best experiences that I have ever completed; not only physically but also emotionally and spiritually. The owners Michael and Fiona are what makes this retreat so special. They are both warm, caring, kind and welcome you into their home with open arms. I feel so blessed to have met them both and we shared many wonderful and special conversations. The retreat is set in beautiful and peaceful gardens and the accommodation is clean, spacious and cosy with lots of interesting books to keep you occupied during your stay.There is a range of equipment to use at the centre such as saunas, inversion table and power plates to keep you busy inbetween the cleansing routine.The cleanse itself; the juices and the colonics have done wonders for my ailments (and also weight loss). The bodywork treatment by the practitioners was outstanding and they worked really hard to help make me comfortable and align both my body and mind.The iridology consultation at the end was so interesting and I was given a plan going forward on how to keep my body in tip top shape (internally).The vegan lunch served at the end of the cleanse was amazing also; so tasty!!Thank you to Michael, Fiona and the team for helping me find myself and start on this new and exciting journey.

Just back from my retreat and I feel fantastic. This really was an amazing experience and I feel so much better than I did before I went my energy is back and I feel great. Great value given it includes accomodation, the cleanse, several treatments and access to a spa an infra-red spa, a tilting table and a “wobbling machine”. You come away with a personalised health plan so that you can carry on improving your health. My first experience of a colonic and honestly there is nothing to be scared of. Fiona, Michael and the other special people you are treated by are all really wonderful and I will be going back again without a shadow of a doubt. Feel free to ask me anything about it.....but go you won’t regret it.

I left Fisher King, (after two weeks there in magical, historic Glastonbury, England), healthier, happier, wiser and substantially thinner. Michael and Fiona welcomed three of us into their large, well-located home (with gorgeous, mature gardens) with open hearts and tons of practical health knowledge. The cost of this retreat was one of the least expensive of any retreat I researched by far. It was totally worth the effort and cost of traveling to England from the east coast US. I love this place, the like-minded, courageous and fun people that juiced with me and most especially I love Michael and Fiona ... I cannot wait to return.

What a great week my partner and I had in the safe hands of Michael and Fiona. This was my second detox and the experience was definitely 5 star.The daily body work was excellent and both Michael and Fiona were non intrusive but always on hand for our endless questions and enquiries. Both were very well informed regarding the detox mechanics and I felt completely safe and relaxed during the whole process. When we left we both felt as though we were rebooting with a fresh and uplifting start to a new life. Cant thank them enough and I feel that the money spent was one of the best investments I have ever made.

Michael and Fiona are absolute experts when it comes to cleansing and detoxing. I first saw them 15 years ago and I still use them. I see Fiona regularly to stay in good health and have great energy. Great people and absolute experts in their field.

Thank you for providing the most thorough and effective cleanse I have ever experienced. Undertaken with great care and expertise, I don’t think I have ever felt in safer hands.I have had a bit of experience doing cleanses and fasts at home by myself and know that it can often be a challenging (yet very rewarding) process as we release toxins, so coming to do this with the full support and guidance of experts who have supported so many people through this made a huge Difference.The whole journey was incredibly powerful and perfect for what I needed at that time, the combination of the juices, the colonics and the daily bodywork, combined with the insights through iridology and tarot, enabled me to release, relax and heal on lots of levels. The environment in which this all takes place is beautifully warm, friendly, spacious and cosy.I feel absolutely like a new person and the result is that I have created better habits which are still going more than a month later, carrying me into the New year with more energy and motivation than I have felt in a long while. As I sit here, I wonder how to put my review into words so that they do no harm but just give my own honest account ... suffice to say that my experience of the Fisher King Centre does not match the glowing testimonials on the Centre’s website.I was given a warm welcome by Michael who showed me to my room and it was clear he was a well informed person on many subjects. I was joined by a lovely lady, so there were two of us and we were both ‘Retreat First Timers’. We were given a brief introductory talk and shown where the vegetables were kept and also shown how to make up the three drinks we would be alternating throughout the week and which cloth and sponge to use for all our washing up. We were given a print-out with some information about cleansing plus indications of when to consume which drinks. We were then shown the equipment and given a brief demonstration of how to operate things and that was basically it. The rest was up to us. It was basically DIY and we were very much left to our own devices. I had a severe migraine for the first four days and there were also questions I wanted to discuss, but unfortunately we only had rare glimpses of Michael for the first few days. Michael then recommended a treatment for my migraine and this did help.We had three sessions towards the end of the week with two outside therapists which were excellent and an iridology report which was very helpful.I felt extremely disappointed and let down. This was money I had saved from doing a part time job and I really had hoped that this would be a gift to myself.I’m glad others have had a different experience at the Fisher King Centre.

First of all I'd like to say that this is Toby's mum posting this review as I can't change from his name! I have stayed at this retreat on three different occasions as I love it so much! I find the week to be totally relaxing and always feel so nurtured when there. Michael and Fiona are really lovely people and are always around to give support in their gentle and extremely knowledgeable way. There are usually a maximum of three guests at a time and you really get to know each other well through doing the juicing together, chatting about the treatments etc. If that's not what you want, it is also easy to chill out on your own in your room or go for a stroll in the fields behind the house or wander into Glastonbury or Street. Whilst there you have numerous treatments which are all inclusive, 3 colonics, 2 shiatsu, yoga, reflexology, and massage and Michael often gives a really interesting Tarot session. The iridolgy session is fascinating and gives you pointers on how to improve your health once home. The visiting practitioners are also very experienced. There are 2 different types of saunas, power plate, inversion table, and trampoline available to use. In addition to juices you also have a regimen of cleansing drinks and supplements. I have never felt hungry when there though do look forward to the meals at the end of the week. During one of my visits another guest was able to expel parasites so I'm sure she felt much better after that. As an added bonus I've always managed to lose 5-6ibs. This is a very thorough and well planned detox and great value when you factor in the what you could pay for all the treatments and is invaluable in setting you on a path for better health. I look forward to my next visit!

This week has been a life changing experience for me. A real tonic for my mind, body and soul. Both Michael and Fiona are incredibly knowledgable and experienced in their field. The vegetables juices and variety of vitamins helped keep my hunger at bay and my energy levels from dropping to low. The treatments were out of this world amazing. I felt at home in this wonderfully accommodating environment and was sad to leave ‘BUT’ I shall definitely be back! Eve

I’ve been to see Michael and Fiona for a retreat 3 times now and I still regularly go and see them for catch ups and other healing work. Each time I have had such a loving, personal and transformational experience, both physically and mentally. Their knowledge is incredible and each treatment performed with such love and care. You feel like you are at home. I never want to leave. I would highly recommend to anyone who needs some healing and a health re-set whilst learning and being cared for. I will be back for more very soon!
