Now this really is an unusual building. Parking is almost impossible nearby. Fortunately we had just eaten in the New Harp Inn (Very tasty meal) and so we were able to leave the car in their park while we walked up to the church. Surprising approach and amazing Dome to see.

Surely a unique place. A bit like stumbling across some unknown Italian monastic order in the heart of the rolling English countryside. Of course, it was built by design in the 19th century. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. There’s a good village pub just down the road.

Beautiful Italianate church in a beautiful location. Unfortunately it was not open to visit inside when we were there, but the loggia and vistas were superb. We did not expect to find a piece of Tuscany in the English countryside. Well worth a visit

Very unusual and eclectic mixture of styles. The view is perfectly framed outside, especially sunset. Great acoustics and very knowledgeable and helpful church warden, Peter.

A fabulous Italianite Romanesque Grade 1 listed church, with beautiful marble columns , the altar with lapis lazuli, the fantastic gold domed roof..takes your breath away.Outstanding stonework & masonry, beautifully constructed .The low hanging lighting, ornate & intricate, the wooden carved choir stalls, there is so much to see..the mosaic flooring ..it really is a beautiful church to visit .

Excellent Victorian architecture. Well worth calling in although parking on the road outside is poor, best to park down the hill in the village. It's a short climb up to the entrance so be aware if unsteady on your legs. See the web site/wiki for the description and history of the building itself.
