We had a brilliant day on the Matthew. Sailing from Princes wharf in the floating harbour, through the locks and down the Avon Gorge underneath Brunel‘s suspension bridge. It was a fantastic journey, the crew were helpful and informative. I highly recommend this. #bristol #matthew

We had a really great time at The Matthew! Our separate Thanks is to the staff: all the time we are visiting The Matthew, thanks to their stories, we are finding something new about the ship, its specificity and Bristol overall. Must visit for everyone coming to and living in Bristol.

Great experience to walk around this recreated ship that crossed the Atlantic Ocean to Newfoundland! You can climb the steps both forward & aft with steep ladders! Free to visit but donations recommended! Enjoy!

Lovely ship, well maintained and clean. They offer tour of the ship and various events either moored or whilst sailing the river. We attended the event of sea shanty with pirates and fish&chips, whilst sailing down the harbour. The weather was perfect and the gig with Pirattitude just great!! Drinks were also available for purchase during the voyage.

We had delightful 5 - 7pm cruise on the Matthew last week. Grand parents, mum, dad and 2 year 4 month old boy all had a great time (in admittedly perfect weather) - fish'n chips on board being a highlight!

What a fun and fabulous way to spend a beautiful sunny Friday evening in September, in tbe company of a friendly crew and swashbuckling singing pirates on The Matthew touring the harbourside, of course not forgetting the addition of great tasting fish and chips. Loved it. Its an absolute must do. Highly recommended.

Very clean and lovely ship, you can go on board and have a look at everything in there. We had the luck to get an excellent tour of the ship and very informative demonstration on how people sailed on the original ship. I can recommend to visit it if you have time. The entry is free and everybody is very lovely and helpful and explains you a lot of details if you are interested in medieval sailing. Unfortunately we had no time to book a tour on the Matthew, but I hope we can do this soon. Thank you so much for your kind insight into everything, we had a very good time visiting the ship! Top recommendation!!
