Absolutely great place to go as far as DIY goes Much cheaper than all the rest and everything cut to your specifications. It's where all the lads in the joinery trade go for their wood, saws tools etc. It's on Silk Street Leigh. They have that personal touch!

Enquiry on wood sheeting for my shed and the email Enquiry was dealt with really well. The reason I went to these guys is that I bought a new house in the area about 10 weeks ago and I don’t know the area but I needed to built some shelves in the airing cupboard. So I randomly picked Boydells and the guy behind the counter soon realized I was not trade and gave me a lot of advice and support, friendly and helpful and didn’t rip me off. For this reason I will go there now always. Well done Tom!!!!!

I have used them for supplying timber on a number of DIY projects. Their stock is well priced and of particular help was them being able to cut timber to the lengths I needed at no extra cost, which saved me a lot of time. Cheaper and more convenient than using B&Q round the corner.

Just being in the town centre is handy. Cut timber to your requirements and deliver also willing to take orders over the phone with cash on delivery which saves time. Delivery when available within 30 mins, that's a good service.

I've been dealing with the company for my projects at home for more than twelve years after they were recommended by a neighbour, not being a local to the area at the start. I've always had excellent service at all times at all levels from friendly helpful knowledgeable well trained approachable staff. Always feel I'm being treated fairly and with respect in every way. Staff are always happy to help and have a bit of banter. A good local firm.
