I cannot recommend Barrells highly enough. Nothing was too much trouble for them when helping us plan our late mother’s funeral. Everybody we dealt with was extremely professional and caring from start to finish. They offered excellent support and advice, guiding us through this very difficult time A special thank you to Lisa and Simon.

I normally work as a funeral celebrant in Spain where I live but had to come to England recently to officiate the funeral ceremony of a dear friend. Barrells were not only fully professional in all their communications, but so accommodating with my questions about how it all works in England! Their way with the family was respectful, helpful and patient, just what is needed when dealing with the death of a loved one. On the day of the funeral they continued to be helpful and supportive of everyone present. Thank you to Stuart and the team on the day and to Kate in the office.

When my precious darling husband died I wanted a professional, dignified, compassionate, respectful funeral director and Barrells did not let me down. You provided the most wonderful care, a massive thank you to Mike, Carolyn and the team. The service and funeral was everything we wanted making a sad occasion much more bearable. Barrels are the best by far we have always used them they done my mums funeral in 2006 but I don't remember to much as I was a child but Recently they have took care of my dad & his funeral and my god the care my dad received was outstanding. From his grooming to having his own clothes and private Chappel of rest over looking the garden with beautiful views he stayed there untill his funeral everything was perfect & my dad looked better in the Chapel then he did the last time I saw him. Lisa was looking after me and she's is the most kindest person nothing was to much trouble for her she meet all my requests. She Even arranged for me to have my dads hand prints taken & a lock of his hair to treasure. On the day Stuart was our director he was filling in for Simon. Stuart called me before the funeral to introduce himself and run through everything witch I thought was lovely and he was so lovely and professional he talked me through each step and gave me and my family outstanding support and kindness he took us and my dad on his final journey across southsea sea front dads favourite place he helped and allowed my partner to carry my dad into the church & arranged for a speaker at the grave so we could replay dads ending song that the vicar accidently skipped on afterwards he kindly drove us to my dads wake . Not only did barrels give my dad outstanding care and the perfect send of there support to myself was outstanding they have made this incredibly difficult time just a little bit easier .you guys really are the best thank you for everything you've done for me and my dad a week afterSimon called to check on me and how everything went witch was lovely and I received a really lovely keepsake in the post a beautiful card with a list of dads flowers and a lovely poem thank you so much

Stuart, Kate and the team at Barrells provided a kind, professional, service when my mother passed away recently. The funeral was exactly how we wanted it to be. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them or use them again.
