theislagladstone.co.uk Cafe in the Park is a nice venue, but the service this afternoon was very poor, primarily because it was clearly understaffed. The staff member taking the orders at the till was also preparing drinks and serving to tables. Quite clearly she was doing her best but resulted in long wait for orders to be delivered to table. Would have been better serving each customer at point of ordering. Think management need to review their staffing levels as a matter of urgency. I will visit again and see if improvements have been made.

Lovely place to grab lunch. Staff really nice and great with the kids. Nice surrounding area for a walk and food really good quality.

This is a great hidden little gem of a place. Very reasonable prices and everything cooked to order. It's not a massive menu, but it's well judged and I tend to prefer limited choice and better execution.All the food ordered was very tasty and went down very well.They also do great cooked breakfast here, again reasonably priced.There is free parking and quite a bit of it. Once you've had your fill you can even take a turn around the gardens.

I'd like to rate this place higher, but I can't. The staff were nice and the food was nice.But the atmosphere was lacking and its in the bottom of the conservatory so you can't see any of the surrounding park.And lastly, it was a bit extortionate in my opinion. £17.50 for a latte, a tea, a bacon on toast and a sausage and bacon on toast is a ridiculous markup on ingredients. I'd say go somewhere else unless that sounds reasonable to you and you're already in the park.

Had a lovely Afternoon tea here this week. Lovely food and the staff are lovely and friendly. Very reasonably priced.We will definitely be back for a nice lunch soon!

We have occasional family breakfast meet ups here. Staff are friendly and food is good. The recent furnishing revamp has added to the ambience. Give it a try.

Nestled within the amazingly beautiful Stanley Park, under the Isla Gladstone Conservatory and in the middle of (for now) two amazing football clubs Goodison and Anfield.There's a bit of a wait for your freshly made egg and sausage toastie to arrive. The wait is worth it as you can't rush perfection. The sausages are really tasty and the eggs are fresh and fried sunnyside up that pops as you cut. Brilliant.Service is fantastic with staff who know their menus and can hold a friendly conversation as you order.£17 for 2 sausage and egg toasties with 1 x decaf latte, 1x americano

Stopped off here and ordered a slice of red velvet cake and a delux hot chocolate, cake was great, good flavour, nice cream, just the right amount. The chocolate fudge cake was also good. The hot chocolate was nothing special, it was fine though (disappointingly they had run out of marshmallows).
