Fantastic meal at Lal Khazana.We've seen the great reviews and thought we'd try it for ourselves and we weren't disappointed!We booked a table, which is advisable as the restaurant was busy.We had the Sabzi Khazana Platter for Two starter (veggie) which was gorgeous. This was followed by a Vegetable Bengali Garlic and a Vegetable Bindiya, these were two of the nicest curries we've ever had.Service was fast, friendly and efficient and we were made to feel very welcome indeed.We'll certainly be back next time we're in Northumberland.A hidden gem.

The staff are wonderful attentive and friendly. The food is amazing and the venue is beautiful. Can’t praise Lal Khazana enough. If you like good Indian food and you’re in the area then this is the place to go!!

We had a nice meal at the restaurant. We both had Chicken Tikka Peaaz Roshan, & it was lovely. There was a lot of slices of garlic though, some of which we fished out as it was too much. The Cobra on draught was very nice too. The restaurant has its own car park too.

Superb curry! I would have given five stars instead of four but the Mixed Kebab starter wasn't the best I've had - I'm not sure if it had been marinated and cooked in a traditional style Clay Oven or if the red Tandoori sauce was added to give it a little authenticity. Don't let that put you off though because the curry really was superb.

Friendly and welcoming, we had a really nice meal here. It doesn’t look very promising on the outside but inside is all warm welcomes and delicious food.

Me and 2 others were happy to find a table here late sunday. We all enjoyed food, it is of a very good quality and generous amount. Some dishes we haven't tried before. The jug of mango lassi is well worth its price. I loved the mushroom rice. Funny, but it went well with the spicy hot fish.One of us liked the restaurant, but also wondered the rating at nearly perfect 5 is too high. So, on a critical note, maybe the design can be improved a bit adding style to the place. At the moment it is an indian barn, beams and chandeliers. All very clean and tidy though. Also, whoever supervises the waiters could maybe make sure some are not too much in visitors face (ours was ok, just a bit curious), but some were loudly making friends with a couple of tables. But maybe it is the character of this restaurant, they are making friends.

Ate here recently with a large group for a birthday, and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Staff were kind, friendly and attentive. Food was amazing. 5 stars are not enough for this place. Definitely worth a visit.

Delicious food, probably the best Indian we’ve ever had in the UK. Restaurant situated in a little village, pretty surroundings, ample parking. Staff were so attentive and friendly - taught us how to fold napkins into crowns! Everything we had ordered was outstanding and we ( three kids under ten and parents) all left full and happy. Will definitely be coming back. Favourite dishes were the Chicken Handi Lazeez and the Lamb Zaal Jhul - yum ❤️
