Was denied a place on hairdressing due to having ADHD and only recently being medicated. Was told i am unable to manage it well enough by a woman who had met me for 5 mins that year, well believe it’s due to my appearance and a few other factors as all of the girls who have been aloud on the course all look a certain way

I got by.Second year student studying 2 courses in the old mill lane site, one in the sixth form.Music instruments are all damaged, students have no respect for the facilities leaving poor quality equipment (some expensive equipment to make up for it"). Internet infrastructure is temperamental and WiFi changed with no explanation or guidance to its use. Computers fail left right and center

Only good if your face fits my son on mechanical course for a year and all is as done is taken an exhaust off teachers don't help when asked. they are numptys just easy £2000 per student which thay should only get when thay complete course.

I am currently completing my apprenticeship in the Information Unit at Barnsley College and by far this is the best place that I have worked. All of the staff and students are really friendly and welcoming and I am really enjoying my time at Barnsley College.

Would not recommend the art and design course. The resources are extremely limited, there is next to no room for artistic expression outside of the traditional resources. Some staff members on the course are great, however, there are others who were not. Artwork has been interfered with by some staff members and have ended up being ruined and the students are expected to fix it. I’ve had my own work be called unoriginal by one of the tutors. I’ve had peers and myself be shutdown with ideas for a project simply because a tutor didn’t like it. Honestly, this course destroyed my mental health and my passion for art. Not worth the time and energy.

The staff have no respect for the students and there is so much corruption going on especially at the wigfield farm site. wouldn't recommend going to this college as they only care about the £2000 funding per student. even had this told to me by 2 staff members.

I have almost completed my apprenticeship at Barnsley College in the Communications and Recruitment department and I have to say it is one of the best places I have ever worked. All the staff are friendly and helpful, the campuses are spacious and modern and the amount of support offered is phenomenal, 10/10 would do it all again!

i applied for some courses at barnsley college the reception staff told me these courses was for 24+ so i applied for them but this week before i was going too interview i had a phone call from one of the tutors he said if i go for these course for every year it would be £4000 per year and there is no funding for 24+ but on there website it say the courses are between £964 and £1500 a year. if it is 4000 a year for adults you need too inform people before they appile for the course and change the prices on line because your letting people appile and get there hope up that they can have a great career when it wont you just lie too them

currently on the course professional cookery level 2, ordered my kit in September, still not here, I didn't pay, using last years torn up kit, got mistaken for doing a levels so you wrongly put £100 in my bank which you can have back, I just want my stuff..
