Visited the Isle for a Soul/Reggae Event and saw this place as we drove to the event. We made sure it was on our list to visit and was also recommended by our Hosts. Authentic family run, friendly young business on the high street. Portions are great and prices even better, please do ask if theres something you fancy as per menu Viv & her partner are great and very accommodating (like me w/ Ackee & Saltfish), my meal consisted of the above w/ Rice & Peas, Coleslaw, Salad, Dumpling (not GF) & Plantain. I chose a lovely freshly made fruit punch as an accompaniment and they even had Gluten Free Cake for afters which was brilliant, my meal came to less than £20 and the flavours were just right not too spicy or under seasoned, ackee was perfect. The rest of my group had Curry Goat which had very few bones if that’s your vibe also, I just prefer ital/fish. Would recommend and will return if I come back to the Island. Will be taking some of their Flaky Patties home for family to try as a gift from my time on the Island.

It's a simple place with incredible food and such friendly service. Best curried goat I've had in the UK. Jerk chicken was so tasty without being overpowering on the spice. Plantain cooked perfectly. The people are so friendly and welcoming. Worth a trip to Sandown just for this.

Really great Jamaican food and attentive service. I had the best goat curry from them and their rum cake was ace!

If you are looking for exoticism on the island, don't miss out on Viv's Cooking. Great food, friendly staff and close to the sea shore. Great place for breakfast or lunch. No booking required just walk in, order then enjoy. A lot of tasty Caribbean and English options

I would come back to IOW just to have Viv's cooking again. The food was scrumptious, cooked to order and so reasonably priced. It's a really friendly atmosphere, we never tried festival before but after being told what it was, we ordered it and did not regret it. We ordered one of the sharing platters and would recommend it to anyone.

Best dining experience of the week on our holiday to the Isle of Wight. Tasty curried goat pasties and patty’s to take away on day one. So good we came back for the sharing platter on day 7. Amazing home cooking- the boys could not get enough!!! Thank you. Natalie, Martin and the boys x

What a find - we had a sharing platter for lunch between five of us - delicious food and friendly service. We’ll be back!EDIT: We didn’t make it back for lunch but they cooked us an amazing takeaway to round off our week in Sandown. We enjoyed every dish - especially the jerk chicken, goat curry and plantain.

A good carribean taste. The sharing platters make sense as well to save some money. The service could have been better here. They took a lot of time to bring the food after we ordered and forgot to bring a dish we ordered, but when we told them about it, they were attentive and served us with missing dish again. Although there was some filming going on the day we visited and they were quite busy with managing that and customers. I guess the service would have been better on any other day. The staff were very friendly though.
