I went in to have a pamper before my wedding this week. Sadly I didn’t get a chance to look at my pedicure until I got home as I was too disappointed by my manicure.I asked for an ombré French tip, perhaps this is out of their remit, but to sit there while both hands were completed to end up with what can only be described as something a child could have done with tipex was incredibly disappointing. I was trying to trust the process, but unfortunately it was not a process, but the end result. I was then asked whether they were ok, which of course was a no. They were completely filed off of both hands and I suggested a normal French manicure with a bit of sparkle if that was easier. In total I spent three and half hours in the salon and now need to find more time to have the entire lot redone. The sparkle on the nails also seemed too difficult so I left with just French but they are no better than I could have done myself. My cuticles weren’t done correctly and now that I’ve had a chance to look at my toes, I am embarrassed to get them out in my wedding sandals. I refused to pay for the manicure but did pay for the pedicure which I regret wholeheartedly. All in all a waste of £37 and 3.5 hours of my life. My bridesmaids nails weren’t much better either. I wish we had all said something at the time and not paid for any of it, but understandably, my bridesmaids didn’t want to upset me.

I went for the first time since the shop had changed hands. The facilities were fine and what you'd expect. However after being stood in the sunbed for a minute or so, noticed a huge black mark on the tanning tube. The bed was making a zapping noise which is why I noticed it. The tube appeared faulty and had started to smoke slightly. I got off the bed and showed the staff. These things happen I guess but I was not shown any kind of concern to the service I had paid for, despite explaining I had got off early for my own safety and actually not received the service I had gone in and paid for. The staff had my details from the form I had previously completed. Not a concern for my welfare was given or any apology for the experience I had. Was quite shocked at the lack of professional care and service I had received and no reassurance of it being taken seriously or trying to bring me back for other custom. Was really disappointed, what a shame

Absolutely fantastic at calm nessy. Had a haircut done and I was extremely happy with the end result. All the staff are friendly and welcome you with a smile. Would highly recommend this salon. Absolutely brilliant. Five stars all round from me. Thank you so so much.

Had gel nails removed and redone. My nails were filed down so much that I was in pain for 2 weeks and my nails are ruined until they fully grow back out. Lovely staff and service. But staff are inexperienced, unfortunately.

Went to Calm Nessy today for eyebrow tint and lamination.Warm and friendly welcome.Clean and tidy room.Was talked through the process at every stage.Ginny who did the treatment was especially engaging and really professional.Felt completely at ease and was so happy with the end result.I will definitely go there again and would highly recommend.

Upon entering the salon, I felt a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The private room was clean, tidy and comfortable for all treatments. I booked a brow lamination and tint and couldn’t have been happier with the results with it lasting at least 8 weeks. My eyebrows are very fair, thin and gappy and therefore are usually a bit of a challenge! The finished result gave me a full looking brow with great shape and they were tinted to suit my natural skin tone. I was also given after care advice.My experience at Calmnessy from start to finish was professional, friendly and relaxed.A great addition to St Mary’s Centre, Thornbury

Very sweet girl, waxed my legs. My experience was bad she was very inexperienced, it took over an hour and was quite painful, I've been being waxed for 20 years and have never experienced anything like it. On top of that she missed patches and I was very bruised. Shan't be going back.

This is now the second visit to Calm Nessy after recommendations from my partner. She has been attending this salon for a few years now and cannot fault it. New management are amazing, helpful, friendly and make your time there amazing. For women, there are so many areas of beauty, therapy and hair covered and competitive prices.For me Amy is a star, her barbering skills are second to none and I have come away over the moon with the Skin Fade she provided - not to mention great chat and laughs, forgetting I'm even there for a hair cut.Booking is easy through the telephone or in person and staff are happy to talk you through any queries or concerns.I would recommend Calm Nessy to anyone!!

I went for the first time a couple of weeks ago for gel nails. Lela was very good and took her time to make sure they were perfect. She checked if I was ok and if I liked them, they were fab and are still on now after being on holiday in and out of the pool. Will definitely be back!

Went for an eyebrow wax, lash lift and tint. Was so happy with the results and service. Staff were extremely friendly:)Would highly recommend!!
