40p to pee! I have no issue at all with paying, however, the money HAS to go to keeping the convenience clean and tidy! Stop hoarding the cash for your xmas do!

My partner used the men's - only half an hour after the loos had opened - they were absolutely disgusting. What an example to show tourists. Looked like they hadn't been cleaned for months. And 40p to have the privilege!! Grim.

If you're going to have the nerve to charge 40p for toilet access, they need to be significantly better than this. I've been to many, MANY free public conveniences that were much, much cleaner and better-maintained than this disgusting stench-hole.

Used them today and was shocked to find they are now unisex which I am totally against. I see the toilet now as an unsafe place for women. As York is one of the worst places in the country for the provision of public toilets this is yet another step in the wrong direction by York council.

Most disgusting toilet that I have witnessed. 40p charge. No urinals ( taped off) , one cubicle so covered in excrement no porcelain visible. Female attendant very hostile as she washed the floor blaming men for the state the place was in. Reported it to the tourist office.

40p for toilets. Card payment broken. Only one urinal in use and p1ss all over the floor. Cubicles are basic and lockable with paper at least. Hole in the wall hand washin.Really needs a full overhaul

An extremely DISAPPOINTING experience. Paid 40p to enter an awful toilet. The worst thing is, after you enter it, you then realise all three toilet rooms are occupied.
