after reading reviews i was very worried when halifax passed my claim to be dealt with by DVS, but they handled my claim very well, i claimed for £1400 and got £1300 as that was the price my replacement item was available for. all done and dusted within 24 hours, please take bad reviews with a pinch of salt, as people only often leave reviews if things dont go right, the 1000s of satisfied customers are never heard. hence me writing this!!!

Called at 9am this morning to report stolen property, had all relevant documentation needed ( this is crucial) and had voucher within 2 hours.Read some reviews and they say was a delay, with mine it was a i phone. I had blocked imie report from EE as well as proof of contract and CAD number.Fantastic service and brand new replacement phone in less than 2 hours.Agent was outstanding.

Absolute joke of a company. Made me feel like a criminal when I was the victim of a burglary, telling me I couldn't claim for anything I can't prove I own. Nowhere in my policy wording does it say that, but I spend two weeks trawling through photographs and bank statements to provide to them. I submitted proof of payment in the form of screen grabs from my bank statement which weren't accepted as proof yet photographs of jewellery that I took from the internet to show what they looked like were accepted. Then I was told that I need to go and get quotes for replacing everything!! Unbelievable that the customer is lumbered with the responsibility to do this when they should be appointing jewellery experts to call customers to go through this with them and provide a professional quotation. Do not accept vouchers as a form of payment either! I was advised by a friend in the insurance game that they get a huge discount on the vouchers. I'm now waiting to hear from them to see what they say about my request for an expert to assess the value of everything that was stolen from me.

What a joke of a company! After a theft from property, my insurance company aviva acknowledged my claim. In there words quote….. passed on to our suppliers unquote. Payed my excess £200 on same day, still waiting for payment, when phoning them passed from pillar to post, customer service tell you lies. What a joke !!!

This and British Gas have to be the worse companies I have ever dealt with. Getting through to DVS is a major challenge and very frustrating when they cut you off after waiting 30 minutes for an answer. I have my kitchen appliances covered by British Gas who use DVS as their agent. When my Miele dishwasher was written off by British Gas, DVS couldn’t locate a replacement dishwasher for me so wanted me to accept £320+ Worth of Argos or Curries vouchers (which is 30% of the cost of the replacement) despite neither company stocking my dishwasher!!

Very poor service ,have been sorting my claim now for nearly 3 weeks.was told that I would be contacted on numerous occasions which never happened, I was doing all the chasing . Was promised that it would all be sorted by the end of this week (That hasn't happened).Don't know why Halifax are using this company .

Back in November 2018 my insurance claim went through direct validation services. I have to admit In looking at the reviews I felt very wary.However they contacted me very quickly . They were very polite and professional and within days my brand new item was sent to me the same make, same model nicer colour, quality as my broken item .Thankyou for a top class service I had no problems whatsoever ever. All done and dusted within less than a month .

Fast, friendly and brilliant experience with this company via my home insurance through CO-OP home insurance. Claimed Wednesday for accidental damage to my laptop, they called me Friday and voucher send via email next day. Thank you for your fast excellent service, a pleasure to deal with you.

SO ANGRY RIGHT NOWWe sent our computer to DVS for inspection after agreeing that this would only be done if we would have the hard drive returned to us and the data recovered to storage device, we were told by phone that this could be done for a charge of £30 and they would be in touch as some point.We then paid our £50 excess fee due to DVS.I was contacted to say there was water damage to the laptop and this simply didn't happen, the laptop was damaged from a fall and absolutley no water damage could have happened. (I was extremely concerned at this point) Eventually the claim went ahead and a value of £310:59 less £50 excess (which had been previously paid to DVS) had been agreed on a £399 machine.After contacting DVS to explain that the fee had already been paid the money was transfered to us but no call to arrange the return of the hard drive and the recovery of the data.We have spent counless hours now by email and phone and we are no further forward, conflicting information has been given by DVS, we have been lied to and treated with a total lack of respect or professionalism in this claim.After speaking to Repair Tech (the company that investiagates the laptops for DVS) we were informed that they only send the hard drive back on an insured delivery and not in a caddy as promised by one person at DVS and still no mention of data recovery which was once promised. (A caddy should be an enclosure which the hard drive can be plugged into a PC to obtain the data from it)I was also informed that Repair Tech do not recover data to a storage device due to GDPR rules and none of this information has been passed onto us.I asked for a manager from DVS to call us two days ago and this still hasn't happened, I did receive a text message yesterday saying DVS tried to call and I called back to then be told that they wouldn't speak to me, my wife was named on the claim and they needed to speak to her to pass security, even though i had been speaking to DVS over the last few days and that we were both named on the policy. We are 7-8 weeks after the money was paid to us.Abysmal Support Service
