Running late into Christmas, a rare book I had ordered online hadn’t arrived. I saw that Pritchards had a copy online and rang to double check it would be available in store, the gentleman on the phone informed me that he was the only person in the shop but would lock-up and go upstairs to double check that they did indeed have it. They did. Brilliant customer service and the perfect proof that we need to support our actual, physical book shops.

What a lovely place. There's no Waterstones near me, so I tried this independent book shop and I'm definitely going back. Well laid out, friendly owner, great variety, went in for 1 book and came back with 3.
