Very pleasant surprise! Had some of the usual market stalls with the addition of some very unusual ones! A good place to stop for food and a good gin. Definitely worth a look if you're in Shrewsbury

Shrewsbury Market Hall
Nice little old school market hall. With butchers, bakeries, Chinese Street food, nice shakes, bakes and cakes. Always pop in to get the butter buns you only seem to find in Shropshire. Plenty of stalls selling alsorts from pet supplies to antiques to clothes. Definitely worth a visit.

Shrewsbury Market Hall
Despite living in Shrewsbury for over 30 years, I rarely use the market. Went on Saturday with a friend for a specific item and we decided to stop for lunch at the Market Hall cafe. What a delight, my friend's festive meal looked gorgeous with sausage, bacon, stuffing and cranberries all topped off with melted cheese. Used the loos after, utilitarian but clean. Top marks all round.

This market is highly compact and every unit runs productively. Fresh vegetables and fruits ,art and souvenirs, and various food centres are effectively welcome customers.

We visited Shrewsbury Market Hall on 11th October 2023, it was named best Market of 2023 in England. I can't say I agree but it was nice to visit. It is good that it is under cover so rainy days it is perfect to visit. It has a good range of stalls for most taste from food stalls to handbags etc.

I have not been in the market since the mid 70's. What a wonderful market. Excellent food stalls, eateries,gift stalls, etc. Toilets were clean. How lucky you are to have such an inviting market

The Shrewsbury Market Hall is brilliant and highly recommend visiting. There is a lot to see and take in and a really good mix of vendors. It can get crowded at times but that doesn't detract from what is a gem of a place.

What a great place! I love all the different stalls and restaurants. Such diversity in the street food, grocers, butchers, as well as all the different places to buy so many things like clothes, bags, toys etc.

Fascinating bazaar of the old, new and eclectic. The food stalls are varied, with a fusion mix of cuisines.Check out the eatery Moreish Cafe that has its own take on Japanese and Caribbean food, which is rather yummy. We also had the privilege of meeting a few friendly characters over lunch here.
